Not just photos — videos become records too. Your records quietly turn into a film. RONDO builds memory movies automatically from a single day, an album, a category, or your ten most-visited places. Video clips are woven in, and you choose the length and the aspect ratio before you save or share. Keep the places you have been, and how they felt, quietly on a map. A place journal for yourself, not for an audience. “That café, what was it that tasted so good?” “The inn we stayed at last year, what was it called?” “That park. I would like to go back sometime.” What if you could leave those on a map, too? Main features - Layer records onto a place Photos, a short note, a five-star rating and tags, right where you are. Weather and temperature are saved for you, and the records build up each time you return. - Videos, just as they were When you want the sound and the movement too, record a video. Even on days you forgot to log anything, you can look back later. Enable it under Movement Tracking in Settings. - Hide any time range you’d rather not show, such as sleep or a ride in someone else’s car. The original data is kept, so you can bring it back at any time. - Choose from three levels of accuracy: High, Standard and Low. Higher accuracy gives a smoother track, and a preview in Settings lets you compare them. - Recap videos animate the track in chronological order, so the route and the order you visited places read at a glance. - Track data is stored only on your device and in your iCloud, and is never sent to any external server. New and improved - Tap the track on the map to switch its display or open the edit menu. - Tapping the track shows the distance moved and the hours it covers. The editor also shows the distance that remains after hiding a stretch. - The Data summary now shows steps and walking distance plus total distance moved, including travel by car or train. - The vertical line in the timeline is tinted with a gradient by time of day, making the shape of a day easier to read. - Unsaved photos appear one by one at the time they were taken, so shots between two places sit naturally in between. - Unsaved photos taken in a row at the same place can be logged together as a single entry. - If a place already has an entry from the same day, you can add the photo to it instead of creating a new one. - Settings has a new Permissions section. Check location, notifications, photos and Health at a glance, and change anything that isn’t set right there. - When a permission is missing or Health data isn’t coming through, the cause and what to do about it are now shown clearly. - Records from the same date in past years can be seen and opened on any day, not just today. - Added a Back to Today button to return to the current day from the calendar or timeline in one tap. - Tuned the drawing speed in recap videos and adjusted the framing so places near the edge are no longer cut off. - When picking photos, press and hold to see a larger preview. - Fine-tuned photo sizes in the timeline and place details for easier scrolling and better legibility. - Reordered the settings by importance. Fixes - Improved tap detection on the track so it works even where recorded points are far apart. - Fixed an issue where Edit This Day’s Track sometimes did not open. - You can now move an entry to a different place, so there’s no need to delete and recreate it. - Fixed a bug where the Cancel button was missing from the delete confirmation dialog. - Fixed a bug where switching dates left the previous day’s state behind and the Log list appeared blank. - Fixed a bug where tapping a business pin on the map could open a record from a different location. - Adjusted the contrast of some very small text for better readability. ### 3.3.1 — 2026-08-17 You can now narrow the map by category Pick a category above the list and only that kind stays. The pins on the map are filtered along with it, so when you are looking for a café, only cafés remain on screen. Bookmark a place you searched for, right there Just tap the bookmark to the right of a place you found and it goes into your want-to-go list. No detour through registering it as a spot first. Places you have already recorded are shown as such. Check places you haven’t recorded against the real view When a place you searched for or picked on the map has no records yet, you now see the real view of that spot. The storefront tells you whether it’s the place you had in mind, which a name and address alone never did. Map search is faster. Suggestions appear as you type, and only places from the area you are looking at come back. When one of your own records is near a place you found, the distance from it now appears. It tells you where the place is faster than an address does. When you record from a photo that has a location, the spot where it was taken now appears as a marker on the map. When you pick a place on the map, your location now shows as a blue dot, clearly apart from the spot pins. The filter screen now shows everything as soon as it opens. Fixed: opening “Choose from your notes” for the cover photo sometimes stayed empty. You can also now tell when it is still loading. Fixed: memories containing videos did not play in chronological order. Photos and videos now run in the order you captured them. ### 3.3.0 — 2026-08-15 A list of places you want to go You can now see your bookmarked places as a list, regardless of the area the map is showing. They are sorted by distance, so the places you can reach right now come first. Open it from the bookmark at the top right of the map. Swipe through the photos in your log In a day’s log, multiple photos can now be swiped through sideways. Portrait and landscape shots are no longer cropped — each one appears just as you took it. Sort and filter the places you want to go Choose “Oldest first” and the places you still haven’t made it to come to the top. As the list grows you can narrow it by category, and the count, the distance to the nearest place, and the number of categories are visible at a glance. Added “Home” and “Work” categories, so the places you go most are easy to spot on the map. The bookmark and filter at the top right of the map are now one connected button. The nearby places list now shows an arrow, so it is clear that tapping does not add anything yet. Fixed an issue where the filter was not applied to the list of places you want to go. Fixed an issue where photos could stay blank when you moved through several days in a row. If loading takes a while, that is now shown. ### 3.2.2 — 2026-08-14 Fixed a crash while writing a memo Fixed an issue where the app could quit right after you added a photo and confirmed your typed text. It mostly affected people who had not used tags yet. Fixed the log jumping back to today Fixed an issue where opening and closing a record while viewing a past day sent you back to today. The day you were looking at now stays put. Fixed an issue where a Memory for a past day added the next day's steps and distance as well. Suggestions in \u201cPhotos from this day\u201d are now photos only. Videos can still be added from \u201cAdd photo or video\u201d. ### 3.2.1 — 2026-08-12 Fixed a crash while recording Fixed an issue where the app could quit after choosing a photo or while writing a memo. Nothing you had already written is lost. Fixed videos getting stuck while importing Fixed an issue where, after picking a video, the app could stay on “Loading” and never come back. If it takes too long, you can now stop it right there. Made the automatic cleanup more cautious so records and photos are never tidied away by mistake.
