## What is Rondo?

Round video messages are fun to record and painful to share anywhere else. Saved from the chat, they turn into square files with the circle stuck on a white background.

Rondo fixes that in seconds, records new circles, and now captions them too:

• Record circles right in the app: hold to record, slide up onto the lock to go hands-free, zoom, flip cameras mid-recording, flash
• Or import a saved video from Photos
• The circle is detected automatically and the white corners are gone
• Auto-captions turn speech into editable subtitles: fix any line, pick a style, and they are rendered right into the video
• Pick a background: a soft blur of the video itself, or any color
• Export as a square, as 9:16 for Stories, Reels, and TikTok, or full-frame without the circle
• Sound stays untouched, and a mute button can drop it entirely

The preview is exactly what you export. No account, and nothing ever reaches us: the app collects no data at all.

Rondo Pro (one-time purchase) removes the watermark and unlocks 9:16 export, custom colors, and captions. The free version is fully usable forever.

Rondo 1.2 is about getting your circle into the editor faster.

• Share straight to Rondo: send a circle from any app's share sheet and it opens right in the editor. You no longer have to save it to Photos first.
• Import a video from Files or iCloud Drive, or drag one straight into the app on iPad.
• Rondo Pro now works with Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your whole family group.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-30

Rondo 1.1 is all about captions.

• Auto-captions: tap once and the speech in your circle turns into editable captions. Fix any line, pick a style, and they are rendered right into the video.
• A new mute button saves the video without sound.
• The new Full format fills the whole frame, no circle mask.
• The circle is bigger now in both 1:1 and 9:16 exports.
