Lots of creeps asking for young girls or boys. It’s disturbing. Not sure how the creator of this app justifies trying to charge people $6 for premium LOL . Funniest thing about it. What are you offering? It’s nuts. People post “starters” using them to ask for rp idea. Some use it like Twitter posting fun quotes or something sexy. But when ALL your post get removed. Meaning no one can DM you, even ones that aren’t risky, or inappropriate. It feels like the Mods are picking on you. There is NO explanation why. I’ve seen post about self harm and sex remain up. So it’s annoying and really bias and bad. The fact that the mods look like anyone else on the app is wrong too! They should stand out. The community gets worse because of this, and dedicated roleplayers don’t wanna stay. ### 3/5 — It’s not bad but their something wrong *2022-11-15, version 0.9.0* My rook account TheLovelylesbianivy is not working at all ever since the new update, everything is white except for my account. Its saying I have no followers or following but I know I do and I supposedly don't have starters but I do or no chat and i do. I have text about this issue and it still hasn’t been resolved. I delete and reinstall the app and it still doesn’t work. ### 4/5 — Rook fix your app *2022-11-10* I took a break and came back two days ago getting back into role playing and finding new things I liked ,until today I had about fauve ongoing roleplays but then when I opens the app my account had no bio no nothing ,my stories and starters where gone and nothing came up, when I tried to open a new account by deleting the old one the delete button was broken please fix your app I'm so sad ### 3/5 — Serious problem *2022-11-07, version 0.9.0* I love this app, I really do. But there seems to be a problem lately. Twice in one day my accounts have stopped working. I had an account going for almost a year and then suddenly nothing would load and it would keep signing me out. So I made a new account and not even an hour later, the same thing happened. This is the third time I’ve had to make a new one. I don’t know if somehow I’m getting banned or if it’s a technical problem. But it needs to get fixed. ### 1/5 — Autobans Ruining App *2022-11-05, version 0.9.0* With the recent update and "better moderation" Rook is randomly banning people for posts that are completely free of anything questionable. On top of that I've seen numerous people get banned for no reason and some during the update lose all their chat histories. Very broken app right now, each person banned unjustly is another chance they won't come back, not a great way to build a userbase. Fair warning to any new users, there is a list of words that will get your starters blocked and get you banned. Sadly, Rook doesn't share what those words are, so good luck fumbling in the dark like the rest of us. ### 3/5 — Fix this please *2022-11-05, version 0.9.0* Been on rook for a couple of years now and recently I got hit with an issue where all I see is a white screen and nothing is there in any of my tabs except for my profile which when I open it sometimes it comes up as blank like a new profile other times it shows the edits I’ve done to it but the rest is blank. No followers no nothing. Tried setting up a new account and not even after 15 minutes of setting it up I get the same malfunction. PLEASE fix I know it’s recently gone through an update but that still doesn’t help us who are out here facing the problem. ### 4/5 — Account info *2022-09-17* Ok. I don’t think its safety protocols are good in anyway either ### 1/5 — Lack of Moderators *2023-10-24* Either the moderators are all incompetent and only deleting posts for people they don’t like, or Rook is allowing full frontal nudity profile pics, and minors to join again. As an example, I’ve reported a 15 yr olds profile, that has a full frontal nude pfp, several times over the past several days. It’s still there as well as all of their posts. A lot of people soliciting and trying to sell nudes too. Considering the number of followers these accounts have, nothing has been done about them in a long time. Apple always ends up getting involved eventually and I don’t know why Apple doesn’t just keep up with the content or make the App owners take responsibility for the illegal content on their app. Used to be able to find people to write stories with on here, now it’s just illegal porn trash. ### 1/5 — Unknown User *2023-09-09* Hi, I was just wondering if there are any mods or ways we can contact Rook staff faster. There’s someone sending threats and inappropriate messages to people right now. They don’t have a profile picture or username. They are continuously telling people to off themselves in different ways and sending threats to random people. Please ban them. Thank you. ### 1/5 — App is alright but… *2022-12-01, version 0.9.0* This weird issue is happening where the app is working just fine and then suddenly nothing will load. I check my profile page and it shows my description and profile picture for a few minutes but eventually it’s blanked out as a default. I can sign out then sign back in and see my profile as if it’s still there and I’m not sure why this is happening. Im unsure if my account is getting banned, if so then I’m not sure why? Im not doing anything wrong on the app. Is it getting deleted? How long will it take to get that fixed? Also can you make it to where they can’t see your page once you block them? Maybe even have it to where only your followers can see your page and starters? Also, I would like the option of removing people that follow you when you’ve blocked them or just want them out of your follower list. Yall don’t have enough BLACK OCS OR OTHER ETHNICITIES for us to pick from and would be MUCH easier if we just had to pay to remove ads instead of a profile photo. It’s been years and nothings changed until now and yall chose to have a dark mode and an activity status. Maybe you could make a separate section of the app specifically for erp/drp? That would definitely solve some problems. Also, I would like to be able to send images of my face claims, but there is not a feature for that yet. Maybe in the future we could make wikis for our OCs and send them to each other, like they do in Amino? I think that would help significantly! ### 5/5 — YOU GUYS NEED TO FIX THIS *2021-04-11, version 0.8.1* I have been trying to be on rook the past few days and all i see is a white screen that is loading but it’s not doing anything like I tried to go on messages it didn’t load anything I tried to go on my own profile it says I have no stories when I clearly have a lot of them and it says I have no followers when the last time I checked I do and it says I don’t follow anyone but I do..CLEARLY that’s not the point, but you guys need to fix this! It also can crash a random. The notification can also glitch and not send a notification, or delete itself when you haven’t touched it. As well as text will light up even if it was your own message and not the other person’s newly sent message. Those are my only problems. The next thing I’ll say is just suggesting that don’t count as problems. I’d suggest adding two sections in the chat part. One is with active chats and the other with chats that the other person left and the user left. They can delete from there, it can make sure people don’t delete the wrong people and get rid of the get lost in the main chat section. **Developer response:** Hi Anonymous Artist, for $2.99 /month, the price of a cup of coffee, you can go completely ad-free and get other perks like profile picture uploads!
