## What is Room Capture?

Capture a room in 3D with your Structure Sensor.

Capturing a 3D model of an entire room is now delightfully easy.  Simply tap 'Start', and slowly pan around your room, and a model is built in realtime as you watch.  When you've finished, the model can be explored with natural touch gestures.

Models are scale-accurate. You can use a measuring tool to measure distance between any two points.

This app requires the Structure Sensor accessory for iPad.  If you do not have a Structure Sensor, please visit http://structure.io to learn more.

There seems to be much confusion over this and all related apps. It’s simple, you need to purchase the actual sensor from the developer website. I recently lot my job but if I could swing the $400 or more dollars, I would put this and related apps on the map! The pricing seems very reasonable and as you can see, I gave this 5 stars without even trying the equipment. I’ve spent many years working with various cutting edge technology vendors and the good ones are easy to spot. This is a great vendor and those who wait to get in now will loose out later.

Pretty sure this app has worked for me in the past, no longer works.  Crashes on open, IPad Pro 9.7" with structure sensor.

I was really excited about this app. But it won't open. Crashes instantly. I'm running it on a new iPad Pro that I bought specifically to use with the structure sensor. Please fix this!

Mit der älteren Version lief der Strukturscanner sehr gut, nach dem Update ist die Verbindung mit dem Scanner nicht mehr möglich.
Ich hoffe, es kommen noch weitere App's die den Scanner unterstützen.

Die alten Versionen waren unglaublich gut! Aber für Besitzer der baugleichen iSense Scanner sind diese Versionen ab diesem Update nicht mehr Nutzbar!! Also wenn ihr nicht mit dem schlechten App von 3D Systems hängen bleiben wolltet, waren diese Apps hier immer die perfekte Lösung. Also bitte - öffnet das App auch für die iSense Scanner.

It takes some practice and a lot of tries to get decent scans with this, and though they will never be perfect the ability to capture the dimensions of a room in 3D and then import that into Sketchup or CAD is an incredible to document a place or work site.

This app is simple and it works quite well.   It’s the reason, I bought a Structure Sensor and it has been worth the wait, does not disappoint!
