## What is Room Chat?

Room Chat is a private messenger for the people who matter most — fast, clean, and built around your conversations instead of a feed.

MESSAGING
• One-to-one and group chats
• Photos, videos, files, and voice messages

Room Chat now runs on iPhones with iOS 16.4 and later.

• Log in to Room Chat on your computer or on the web by
  scanning a QR code from Profile › Devices
• Fixed photos not being selectable in the picker
• Fixed the empty space that appeared under messages
  after closing the keyboard
• Smoother scrolling in chats with lots of photos
• Smoother chat list, especially with folders or when
  someone is typing
• Deleting a pinned message now clears it from the
  pinned bar right away
• Deleting an unread message now updates the unread
  count
• Fixed a message you deleted for yourself coming back
  while the chat was still open
• Deleted messages no longer open the action menu when
  you press and hold
• Uses less memory in chats with lots of photos

New in 1.1

• Stickers and GIFs — a new panel in the message box lets you
  search and send GIFs and stickers. Browse sticker packs and add
  the ones you like, and your recents stay one tap away.
• Emoji picker — send emoji without switching keyboards.
• Usernames — set or change your username, with availability
  checked as you type.
• Tappable links — links, phone numbers and email addresses in
  messages are now tappable, with a long-press menu to copy or open.
• Archived chats — pull down on the All tab to show or hide your
  archived chats.
• Undo — archived or deleted a chat by mistake? Tap Undo.
• Group members — view the full member list of large groups on
  its own page.

Fixed
• Photos now open properly in full screen, and videos no longer
  restart while you scroll.
• Contact names now appear correctly when you sign in on a new
  device.
• Improved stability and performance throughout the app.
