One schedule contained 2 rooms and 1 cleaning zone. With the 3.1.0 update, all schedules were erased and this version won’t let me schedule a room and zone combo. Been a roomba owner for over 15 years and this last update is the first time I’ve been frustrated by my helper. I hope the company reads these reviews and makes changes. ### 2/5 — The new version is horrible *2026-08-31, version 3.1.0* The new version of the app is 10 steps back. Usability and map edition are horrendous. I’ve had a 100 for several months now. It’s 98% a gimmick and really only works on tile/hard floors. Yes, it draws pretty lines in the carpet so it looks “cleaner”. The piece of junk frequently gets lost, stuck and the maps reset. I’ve reset the thing, repositioned the dock and checked my internet connection. Thank GOD I got this junk for free. The recent app update actually REMOVED functionality. No longer can I start a quick routine to include a mix of rooms and clean zones. Nope. Nor can I create a routine with both. This piece of junk has been relegated to clean in front of my cats litter box/area at this point….the garbage is soon. iRobot (or whatever private equity that bought this lagging company) is so behind the times. ### 1/5 — Latest update deleted my map *2026-08-29, version 3.1.0* The latest update has removed my map, necessitating hours of remapping and editing. Please do better. And for users who have not updated, DON’T ### 1/5 — Complete waste of money! *2026-08-28, version 3.1.0* I have had four roombas over the years and each one stops working before the warranty is expired but support is slow and sometimes nonexistent. They do anything to prevent having to replace the robot. I am currently trying to get them to support the latest one (700 Max series) and they took a month to respond. It is very very hard to figure out how to use it, and rooms and zones cannot be combined anymore into a single routine! So careful customization is gone! Also, the app continues to fail to recognize and add new spaces to the map. And the app still frequently fails to save the history of a cleaning job. And the charge level indicator is still flaky. This is not the quality I expected from iRobot! ### 1/5 — Great until update. *2026-09-01, version 3.1.0* Have reset my product 3 different times as it won’t reconnect to WiFi or app if it gets stuck. Very annoying and just started in the last 3 weeks. Was great previously. Completely lost my automations and decided to take creative liberties with my map and all but destroyed it. I have spent days trying to remap, but whatever happened in the update has made it impossible. The machine refuses to enter individual rooms on most runs. I was surprised how easy it was to set up as I am not text savvy; however, the mapping software and the set up were quick and easy.
