The concept of booking by video sounds great in theory, but the execution is severely lacking. First, the app is glitchy and slow. It crashed multiple times while I was trying to browse listings, and the search function often returned irrelevant results. When I finally found a reservation that seemed like a good deal, the booking process was anything but smooth. The app kept freezing, and I had to restart it several times just to complete the transaction. Worse, the customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive. I had a question about the reservation I purchased, but it took days to get a reply, and when I did, the response was generic and didn’t address my issue. It felt like they didn’t care about resolving my problem. To top it all off, when I arrived at the hotel, there was an issue with the reservation. The hotel claimed they had no record of it, and I had to spend hours sorting it out with both the hotel and Roomer’s support team. It was a nightmare and completely ruined the start of my trip. Overall, Roomer feels like a poorly managed platform with little regard for user experience. Save yourself the trouble and book directly with the hotel or use a more reliable service.
