I did use it for 2 years because I was designing a home and it was the more accessible for the iPad than the apps available at the time. This year I didn't renew. The subscription rate increased 25% this year. It's a pretty time consuming app and the furniture inventory is not very robust and you can't add anything to it. You have to put a block in place of your missing pieces. For the cost of the app you should be able to upload items to the inventory along with paint colors and wallpaper. I do not recommend this app. ### 4/5 — Good app *2026-05-16, version 9.01* I think the app is good. It’s fairly straightforward and easy to use. It could use some more design flooring and surfaces. And you should be able to distinguish Flooring from room to room easier. ### 4/5 — Great! Could use a couple things *2025-12-23, version 9.01* Awesome App! The only few things I would love to see are roof/ rooflines to become available. Also when you’re in 3d mode and zoom in on a particular area/room, one cannot move the floor plan over - meaning some rooms get pushed off the screen, in lieu of just moving the whole floor plan over, one must reduce the floor plan and twist it around to try and find a better angle to see a particular room. Lastly, I think it would be really cool if they had a “walk through” feature. Essentially it would be an option to “walk” through the space to see how it looks as a person. If you want to use the app you must also purchase “credits” in order to do anything. There is also constant crashes and glitches and the developers response to all these issues is essentially “damn that’s crazy bro” ### 2/5 — Not user friendly *2024-05-14, version 9.01* I have experience in multiple cad programs this is a program that rivals the performance of the 46th president ### 1/5 — Totally baffling to me *2024-04-23, version 9.01* I just want to be able to make a rregular line drawing and adjust it for scale i.e. draw a floor plan and adjust it. I don’t want decorator functions just to be able to draw it out. That’s the one thing I haven’t figured out. I’ve got a rectangle that’s it. I cannot find how to modify it. I cannot even find the drawing tool. I’ll grant I may be too dumb but that’s why I hoped for this to help. I’m afraid I’m deleting it now. At least I know how to use pencil and paper and a ruler so, as they say, “Back to the drawing board.” Update 3/12/24: had new data so thought I’d try again . I could never sign in, no matter what I tried:changed password, saved password, etc. So I deleted it again. I sure get tired of spending all my time trying to use an app without obstacles or thins popping up interrupting the basic use for the app. It’s like buying a crowbar but when you go to pull a nail it requires passwords at his Pop up so you can’t see the nail. Update: I trie one more time but…I’m willing to subscribe monthly to see if I can get it to work but $119 annually when I can’t even start? Geez! Let AI buy these AI monstrosities. I thank the developer for offering help. I was hoping for something useful not to have to study something. I would like to be able to change the ceilings, so in areas they are open up to the rafters, and other parts standard heights. It might be me? but I just cannot get it to look right. I would also like to be able to put skylight velux windows in the ceiling's in my plan, but cannot. It would be great if it displayed the roof when looking from the outside of the building to give a full picture. It insists on a continued subscription just to view an already completed project. I should have the option to downgrade the subscription while continuing to view previous projects. This was a complete waste of money. ### 3/5 — Okay I guess *2023-09-13, version 9.01* It gets the job done. There are better ones. It will not show you the measurements of all your walls at once, and sometimes you can’t move walls to make them longer or change the angle, even when lock isn’t on and snapping is off. You can’t select secluded areas within the house to remove from the final square footage, and the divider function is either broken or too hard to use for me to bother. Still, it did tell me the square footage of my house, so it does math alright. Though it wont let you input just inches, for example 14 inches, only feet and inches, so it would be 1 foot 2 inches instead of 14 inches. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — So bad *2026-06-22, version 9.01* I’ve never even written an app review. The room drawing interface is unstable on iPad. Cannot enter walls lengths with numbers, settings continually reverted etc etc etc. Deleted after an hour of swearing and frustration. This program is so unbelievably basic. I tried mapping out our space and once I finally added the walls and stairs, to my surprise the furniture catalogue was sooo basic, or I just had to pay a $200 fee?! Absolutely ridiculous. Thank you for wasting an hour of my time. When updating a measurement keyboard defaults to characters, not numbers! When using shapes it combines them into a single area & removes the wall. The floor plan I was attempting to recreate to see how to arrange the furniture in my new house, and used the scaling feature which was accurate. One feature I wish it has was more options for furniture we have here in the United States. ### 5/5 — Small house *2026-06-12, version 9.01* Construction review requirements in my county dashed my Tiny House hopes yet I have a camping van for mobility, so am using the software to design a small house of about 700 sq ft and using Tiny House storage solutions. Roomsketcher allows me to play with different plans, furnish the rooms to test the space, go walk around inside using 3-D. I had my current home built and being to think about things like light switches, light fixtures and outlets ahead of time will make discussions with my selected builder effective. Plus I can print blueprints to collect bids. This is an excellent tool for imagining and laying out a vision. ### 5/5 — Great for identifying issues with architects plans *2025-12-16, version 9.01* I initially used the application to develop floor plan concepts for my architect. Later I upgraded to 3D, which was very useful in identifying issues with window heights and placements. It was also very helpful in developing preliminary kitchen design concepts before meeting with kitchen design centers. There are limitations with the application, but for the money…and a little bit of a learning curve…it is a great option. ### 5/5 — Very good for new user *2024-03-05, version 9.01* I have to say, having never used any sort of drawing/ cad type app in my life, I find this app very intuitive and easy to use right out of the gate! For me, I’m utilizing it for my future bathroom renovation, and it has been so nice to be able to draw everything out, visualize my entire space, and have the ability to eventually present this to my contractor as a floor plan! It’s a great tool for quick sketches and full designs. it’s true, I could use more patterns and colors in the material catalogue, but I’ve also seen some improvement here over the years. One request: please improve your tile use and placement especially on backsplash use and on walls where there are no boundaries for a tile to die into.
