## What is Roost?

Where's your home insurance policy number? Right now, if the ceiling was leaking?

For most people, the answer is an email from 2021, a drawer, or a folder somewhere. Roost fixes that. It's a household admin app - life admin, sorted. One organised home for the insurance details, boiler info, car documents, warranties, and renewal dates you'd otherwise lose. The stuff nobody enjoys organising but everyone needs eventually.

THE VAULT : Structured storage for everything important: home insurance, vehicles, boiler and appliances, utilities, subscriptions, documents, pets, memberships, health info, and the people you'd need in a pinch. Every item type comes with sensible fields built in, so adding your car prompts you for the MOT date, registration, and breakdown cover. No blank pages to stare at.

Renewal reminders surface before things lapse, not after. MOT due, insurance renewal, warranty running out. Roost tells you first. Attach photos, documents, and receipts directly to any item.

IF X HAPPENS : Every vault item has an emergency section. The claims line, the policy number, what to do first. Because when the boiler dies at 11pm, you don't need a filing system. You need one number, immediately. That's the whole point of Roost: it's there before you knew you'd need it.

Works for everything. Car written off? Claims line is right there. Lost your phone abroad? The IMEI and network's emergency line are in your partner's Roost. Water coming through the ceiling? Stopcock location, saved months ago by past you.

LISTS : A shared shopping list that syncs to your partner's phone in about a second. Tick something off in the supermarket and it disappears from their phone too.
Films, TV shows, books, and albums get their cover art fetched automatically, so your watchlist actually looks like one. Star ratings with half-star precision. Restaurants to try, places to visit, gift ideas per person, recipes, wines. Or build your own list type from scratch.

On shared lists, every item shows who added it. No more mystery additions to the shopping.

ROUTINES : Smoke alarm test. Gutter clean. Pet vaccinations. Descale the kettle. The jobs that slip. Not because you're disorganised, but because they come round once a year with no warning. Set the rhythm once and Roost does the remembering. Overdue jobs are flagged, done is one tap, and you can skip an occurrence without breaking the schedule.

TASKS & NOTES : A clean to-do list and a quiet, focused notes editor. Shareable, like everything else.

FOR HOUSEHOLDS : In most homes, one person carries all of this in their head. Every renewal date, every policy, every appointment. Roost gets it out.

Share anything with your household: they can find the boiler cover details, tick off the shopping list, see what's due. Without asking you. Changes sync in about a second, and an activity feed shows what everyone's been up to. You can even nudge someone about the bins.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN : Personal items are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't read them. Shared items are protected so only your household can see them. Optional Face ID lock. Sign in with Apple or a one-time code. No passwords to remember, which is fitting.

FREE AND PRO : Roost is free, and stays free. Everything works on the free plan — the vault, If X happens, shared lists with cover art, routines, tasks and notes, and full household sharing. The only limit is 10 items in each section. No card required, no time limit.

Pro lifts that cap to unlimited, for £X/month or £Y/year. That's the only difference.
