## What is RosterMonitor?

Every duty on your roster, checked against EASA FTL before you fly it.

RosterMonitor is the daily companion for airline crew — pilots and cabin crew alike. Connect your own crew-portal account and it downloads your personal roster — with up to 12 months of history if you want it. Every refresh re-checks the whole roster against EASA flight time limitations: duty periods, rest, days off, standby and cumulative hours. One glance at the Dashboard tells you when you report, what tomorrow looks like and whether anything deserves a closer look.

WHAT IT CHECKS, AUTOMATICALLY
• FDP limits, including planned extensions, commander's discretion and split duty
• Minimum rest at home base and away, including reduced rest and the FDP reduction that follows it
• Weekly rest of 36 h in 7 days, with the 60 h in 10 days fallback
• Late/night-to-early transitions and consecutive night duties
• Extended recovery rest with 2 local nights, and the 60 h variant after a run of disruptive duties
• Time-zone compensation: local nights at home after long rotations, and rest away after a large time difference
• Days off: minima per month, 13 weeks, 52 weeks and calendar year; the block of 4 consecutive days off; a free weekend every 4 weeks; and whether each OFF day is genuinely free
• Cumulative block hours over 28 days, the calendar year and a rolling 12 months; duty hours over 7, 14 and 28 days and the calendar year
• Standby rules, including FDP reduction after callout and standby away from base
• Days off spent away from base, and days at base between trips
• Roster changes that need your consent: short notice (under 48 h) or a replaced day off

NOTHING IS A BLACK BOX
Every finding shows the exact numbers, dates and windows the check is built on, and the findings that need it add a step-by-step calculation trail — so you can verify each result yourself.

BUILT FOR THE LINE
• Today and next-duty board with a live countdown to report time
• Full schedule with sector-level detail, a UTC/local time toggle and rest bars measured against the minimum that actually applies
• Cumulative limits board with margins and a day-by-day or month-by-month breakdown of each window
• What-if planner: thinking about picking up an extra duty? Drop it into your roster and see what would break
• Findings history

ALWAYS WITH YOU
A Live Activity through your duty day with the pickup time, a countdown to the next milestone and the rest filling up after the debrief. An alert whenever a refresh finds your published roster has changed. Spotlight search of duties and Siri Shortcuts.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All processing happens on your iPhone. There is no backend, no analytics and no tracking — we never see your roster or your credentials. Credentials are stored only in the iOS Keychain and sent only to the portal address you enter. An optional Face ID lock hides roster data in the app, on the Lock Screen card and in Spotlight.

TRY IT FIRST
Tap "Try with sample data" and explore the full app on a bundled sample roster — no account, no purchase.

AN AID, NOT AN AUTHORITY
RosterMonitor is an independent informational aid. It is not affiliated with any airline or crew-management system, and it does not replace your operator's official systems or your own responsibility as a crew member — it helps you catch what is easy to miss.

SUBSCRIPTION
RosterMonitor Pro is a monthly auto-renewing subscription that starts with a 7-day free trial. It unlocks the compliance checks; the sample roster can be explored without subscribing. The price for your storefront is shown on the purchase screen and on the App Store. Payment is charged to your App Store account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-01

More accurate day-off checks and a safer history re-download

• A day off counts only when the whole local day is free, with a free local night before and after it. Other activities of the day are checked too, not just the main duty, and each date counts at most once. Your counts may therefore differ from the previous version; the basic minimums are unchanged.
• When a missing day, an incomplete duty time or an airport’s unknown time zone could decide a day off, you see “Cannot verify” and the day stays out of the confirmed count. For the counts over a period, “Cannot verify” appears only when the result could change. An empty roster day is not missing data.
• A day-off period closes at midnight at your base, regardless of your phone’s time zone. Until then a shortfall in the roster is at most a yellow warning; a violation can come only after the period ends, not already on its last day.
• The block of four days off in a row now counts only days within one calendar month. Vacation counts toward it only when the whole day is proven free of duty.
• The finding card and the Limits row show the same count and minimum for the same period. A warning you took note of shows again if the count gets worse.
• When a planned day off was cancelled and a duty assigned on that day instead, the day's card in the Schedule now shows it on a line of its own, “Cancelled day off”, even when the card is collapsed.
• “Download everything again” in Settings no longer deletes anything first: months that do not download this time stay stored, and if the download fails or completes only in part, Settings says so.
• Roster-change alerts are now built from the finished data, so they no longer report a false change that existed only during processing.
• In first-time setup, a tap outside a field hides the keyboard, the Crew ID field has a Done button, and a hidden password is no longer erased when you return to the field.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-21

Spot a free weekend sooner — and every finding shows you the numbers

• A free weekend is looked for in a rolling 28-day period: one unbroken rest of at least 36 real hours reaching into both a Saturday and the Sunday right after it, with both days inside the same period. Elapsed time is what counts, so a spring clock change cannot turn 35 hours into 36, and a rest ending exactly at midnight on Sunday covers no Sunday time at all.
• Instead of one undated finding for your whole history, every assessed period now gets its own answer with exact dates.
• A period that has not ended yet shows a yellow warning — the red finding comes only once the period is over. A roster you had not flown yet used to be reported as a violation.
• When a missing day, an incomplete time or the edge of your downloaded data could still change the answer, the app says so instead of guessing. A day you were simply not assigned anything is not treated as missing data. A period with a proven weekend produces no card at all.
• Every finding card now states what was measured, the value in your roster, the limit or minimum, and the difference — remaining margin, shortfall or excess.
• Longer messages wrap instead of being cut off after one line. Conditions that change what a number means stay visible: a confirmed reduced rest, a commander's decision, or a requirement that holds unless otherwise agreed.
• The overview and Try a duty show the same wording. Rules, limits, the number of findings, history and acknowledgements are unchanged.
• The duty axis in an expanded card is now compact: every segment is its own rounded block inside the duty band, with hour ticks behind it. Flights are blue, positioning indigo and ground training grey — the same colours the schedule uses, and a mixed day is coloured segment by segment. Lengths, times and the scale are unchanged.
• In Settings, “Operator bases” is now “Other operator bases”. The saved bases and what they mean are unchanged.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-19

A sharper weekly rest — and the right clocks behind it

• The 36-hour rest is now looked for inside seven consecutive days, counting only the part of one rest that truly falls into that window. If it is missing, the app looks for a 60-hour rest in a ten-day window around the week — and stays quiet when it finds one.
• Everything is measured on the UTC timeline, so the hours add up across time zones for flights and layovers alike.
• A rest starts after the last activity of the day. Standby, self-study and ground training now end it too, where they used to be skipped.
• A week that has not happened yet shows a yellow warning — the red finding comes only once the week is over. When the answer lies outside the downloaded roster, the app says so instead of guessing.
• The finding card shows the whole calculation: which rest counted, how much of it fell inside the week, and the most the ten-day windows could offer.
• If your account shows times in UTC or in home-base time, the app now reads them correctly and shows them in the station's local time. The weekly rest is computed from those clocks too, so findings that existed only because the hours were shifted are gone. There is nothing to set up — it takes effect on the first launch, including for the roster already on your phone, and it is not announced as a roster change.
• When a duty is followed by a positioning leg from the same airport, the hours in between are a connection, not a rest period — the app no longer calls it too short, and the rest afterwards is measured against the whole journey. A standby or a training day away from base keeps its own rest.
• In a day's detail, the pickup time follows the time display switch like every other time on the screen.
• Eight airports in Central Africa now carry their own time zone.

We have also clarified the app description: RosterMonitor serves the whole aircrew, pilots and cabin crew alike.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-17

A release shaped by feedback from the first weeks: tighter days-off checks, a smarter Lock Screen card and several fixes.

• After the debrief the Lock Screen card becomes a rest card: the duty length and the minimum rest filling up until it is met
• Flight numbers and the full route on two lines, nothing cut off; every clock including the pickup follows your UTC/LT choice
• The card rebuilds itself when you change the pickup setting; Settings keeps just the Live Activity switch
• Days off: 7 OFF is checked per calendar month; a running or future month published in full with fewer than 7 OFF shows a warning, a violation once the month is over
• Days off in the rolling 13- and 52-week windows: a window still ahead shows a warning with its closing date and the shortfall; a violation only once it has closed
• Days off per calendar year: a warning from 1 October when the roster falls short; the rate projection that fired too early is gone
• UVAC lowers the minimum in the 13- and 52-week windows as well
• Fix: a positioning duty across midnight no longer triggers a false 36-hour rest warning
• Fix: two rests exactly 168 hours apart no longer raise a warning
• Connecting to eCrew: an empty server address is reported right away instead of a long wait
• The Home Screen widget has been removed; your duties live on the Lock Screen card

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-11

A maintenance release after 1.0 — faster launch, sturdier downloads and a few fixes on the purchase screen.

• Faster launch and a smoother Schedule: no repeated calculations, and the first open of the Schedule with a full year of history no longer stalls
• Downloading your history is no longer cut short by auto-lock
• After trying the sample roster, a real account connects straight away and the history download offer shows correctly
• The app icon now appears in the Dynamic Island and on the Live Activity card
• Purchase screen: every text in your device language, a support link, and a clearer message while a purchase is pending
• A malformed roster date can no longer block launch; correct display on devices set to a non-Gregorian calendar
• The hidden portal page is released after every download
