Almost a month has passed since the first issue. ### 1/5 — Inaccessible and frankly ridiculous *2019-09-04, version 6.1.0* For the INTERVIEW they specify what you must wear which is fine, if you have it but they will mark you down if you just dress appropriately for an interview. Their reasoning for this is that they “want to check you can follow instructions”. It is simply ludicrous to ask applicants to buy the uniform before even being offered a job. You’d hope their interviewers would have the brain cells to assess whether an applicant can follow instructions from talking to them but it appears not. If you can’t afford to buy a uniform before you know if you have a job, then don’t bother. I’d like to think you would have a fair chance regardless of getting a job, regardless of how well off you are before starting but not here. ### 1/5 — No shifts *2019-08-18, version 6.1.0* Seems like a good idea but haven’t been able to get any shifts. In the last week I’ve applied for over 25 shifts and been put on the waiting list for every single one. A complete waste of time. ### 1/5 — Not happy *2019-07-21, version 6.1.0* Very upset with this company , I’ve applied to many shifts and have not been accepted by one. They have put me on the waiting list for all shifts in the ‘event that someone drops out’. This is not convenient at all as this means there is an 80% that you’ll be sitting at home with the hopes to be accepted. And even if someone drops out you have to apply again and wait to be accepted. When I first signed up there were, and now there’s none. I don’t understand why this is happening and honestly I hadn’t signed up anywhere else because I had high hopes and didn’t think this would happen. Interview process was a joke. Very unorganised, unfriendly and judgemental people. Took a good 20 minutes to even start the interview. Even the other interviewees were unfriendly and unapproachable. At the interview, I was anxious and nervous as they made you role play in front of a large group of young judgmental people in an unrealistic setting. As I was nervous and anxious, I made a few mistakes. However they didn’t even have the decency to tell me in person that I hadn’t got the job, instead asked for my availability before copping out and using the app to tell me I had been unsuccessful. They take your picture and photocopy of your passport before you have even got the job. Pretty sure that’s violating data protection ... Then after telling me on the app, there isn’t even an option to delete your account permanently, or the data they hold of you. Really really badly organised, unfriendly and unprofessional company. At least bother to hold one on one or more personal interviews for people with anxiety or suffer with nerves before refusing them the job. I’m a great waitress with 4 months experience and always got amazing compliments from customers. This company will take their staff for granted and judge you on the interview off looks and first impressions. I have gotten rescheduled 3 times for their orientation/onboarding day with almost no notice from them (notified my place on the program was cancelled 1 day before the date). Ironic that the app apparently rates their workers on their reliability, when Rota themselves are appalling.
