In the owners manual it states you use this app to be able to use Tidal connect so it is possible to stream hi-res lossless music. Without it you cannot stream with anytime other than airplay 2 spotify and google chrome cast. On one hand, the app it replaced looks better and has smoother operation. However, I am now unable to connect to or control my A14. I have performed a factory reset and updated the software, but to no avail. Go figure. ### 1/5 — Warning destroys compatibility with RC1572 preamp *2022-12-10, version 1.3.0* The Rotel app that controlled my 3 year-old RC-1572 preamp auto updated to this new version. This new version has nothing to do with my Rotel product. It overwrote the app I use to control my preamp taking away an important feature. Seems there is no way to go back to the version I had and Rotel effectively just revoked a feature of a product I bought new 3 years ago. Software needs urgent attention to manage system processing delays. ### 1/5 — Completely useless app *2026-05-11, version 1.3.7* Not sure whether it’s the app or the device. But it completely loses the device connected and then the device disappears from Spotify. Can’t do much real control of the device using the app. ### 1/5 — Can’t find the RT-1570 *2026-01-17, version 1.3.7* I own the RT-1570, it’s the only network-connected Rotel device I own and an app would make it so much more user-friendly. Since the Reciva platform went offline, searching for web based radio stations is a pain and an app would be of so much help, but this app just tells me ‘no devices found’. ### 1/5 — S14 and UI *2025-12-30, version 1.3.7* The App barely works, no radio stations Save as Favourites and generally very clunky. AirPlay seems ok (often iOS issues can sidetrack things) though I’ve yet to run any other music streams.
