### 5/5 — You Can Already See the Vision

*2026-09-10*

Roum feels fairly early, but you can already see the vision. Finding roommates today is still incredibly fragmented between Facebook groups, random listings, and apps that focus more on finding a room than finding people you would actually want to live with.

Roum feels like it is trying to solve the bigger problem around co-living by helping people understand compatibility, lifestyle preferences, housing needs, and who they may actually be sharing a home with. There is still room for the app to grow, but the foundation makes a lot of sense, especially as housing costs continue pushing more people toward shared living.

Excited to see where it goes.
