## What is RoundKeep?

Keep your gun collection, ammo inventory, and maintenance connected.
Log a range trip in RoundKeep and your ammo on hand and firearm round counts update together.

YOUR COLLECTION, IN ONE PLACE
Keep firearm photos, serial numbers, notes, and ownership details alongside round counts, practice history, and maintenance records.
Track suppressors too.

AMMO THAT UPDATES WITH YOUR PRACTICE
Track ammunition by caliber, type, weight, and quantity. Logging a live-fire session deducts the ammo you used.
Editing or deleting the session reconciles the count. Ammo bought and used at the range can be recorded separately from your stock at home.

MAINTENANCE BASED ON ACTUAL USE
See what is due by time or round count. Use schedules sourced from manufacturer manuals for supported firearms, choose a generic schedule, or customize your own.
Keep a history of cleanings, inspections, and parts replacements.

A RECORD OF EVERY RANGE DAY
Log range trips, dry fire, and competitions. Keep the firearms used, ammunition, notes, drills, and target photos together. Review your practice activity over time.

MEASURE YOUR TARGETS
Analyze photos of paper targets to detect shot holes and measure group sizes in inches or MOA.
Review and correct detections when needed. Get automatic scoring for supported target designs, and use the printable target library for your next range trip. Image analysis runs on your device.

KEEP YOUR RECORDS WITH YOU
Use RoundKeep on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. No account is required to get started.
Your records are stored on your device, with optional iCloud sync available with Premium.
Export records when you need a separate copy.

START FREE
Manage up to 3 firearms and use the core ammo, maintenance, and practice tools.

### 3/5 — Clunky flow, vibe coded at an attempt to monetize

*2026-09-05*

I used this app when it was free, I even helped debug and gave feature requests when the dev was creating it. It has some cool features but the flow isn’t great and this isn’t something I’d want to spend my money on. You’re better off tracking in a spreadsheet to be honest or just have AI create your own app - that’s basically what this is.

**Developer response:** Thanks for being an early user and for taking the time to share feedback while RoundKeep was being developed. I appreciate it!

I’m sorry the flow still feels clunky to you. UX is something I’m continuing to improve for a year now, and specific examples of where the app feels awkward are always useful.

I do want to clarify the monetization point. The free tier still includes the core functionality: firearm tracking, ammo inventory, suppressor tracking, maintenance, range sessions, and target analysis. The firearm limit changed from 5 to 3, and newer features such as statistics are part of the paid tier.

A spreadsheet may absolutely be the better choice for some people. RoundKeep is intended for people who want all of that data connected together without having to build and maintain the system themselves.

Thanks again for the feedback and for using the app early on.

### 2/5 — Unable to Sync data

*2026-07-31*

Paid for the Premium Member subscription to be able to Sync between devices and after several attempts, UNABLE to sync. Not user friendly at all. Will not renew. App works well, very good at tracking firearms, ammo and maintenance .

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback and I’m very sorry for the bad experience with sync. I’ve deployed the fix for iCloud late on July 26, and if it still doesn’t for you - please reach out to support@rangeready.app and I’ll work with your specific case to get it resolved. I really appreciate your trust that you care to leave a review.

### 5/5 — Great and Getting Better

*2026-07-30*

This app tracks everything I need it to and does it efficiently, simply and logically. The UX just makes sense. The developer has made some great improvements recently and is responsive to feedback.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for the modern firearms owner.

*2026-06-19*

This app is perfect for keeping track of ammo. Stop using spreadsheets.

Besides that though it will also keep track of rounds fired and alert you with different milestones when cleaning, oiling, or stripping needs to be done. Really nice feature that I would have lost track of otherwise.

The target analysis is a good way to track progress. I now take a picture of my targets during every range visit.

Really if you found this app, you need to download it.

### 1/5 — It’s Basic

*2026-02-15*

I am an avid shooter, with a large collection who shoots on a regular basis and tracks my range sessions, as well as my family’s range sessions, certifications, licenses, and equipment.

Unfortunately, this app does not offer enough details for me to utilize it on a functional level, and does not work on a MacBook Pro.

If you have more than one type of the same type of firearm, i.e. 3 different Glock 19’s, with different variations on the build, and utilize different types of ammo for each specific one it is difficult to align the correct weapon with the correct ammo.

The Ammunition section does not record all the ammunition factors needed to tie specific ammo to a range session.

Additionally, it does not cover any sort of shotgun aspects, specific to the type of gauge or shot weight or shell size that you are shooting with.

There are various other components missing from it as any average shooter or reloader would utilize and need access to have to be able to track and document for their benefit.

I’ll let you do your own digging, but the App Store has a much better app that is much more comprehensive and actually understands shooters, shotgunners, and reloaders needs.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback — I appreciate you taking the time to share it.

RangeReady is designed primarily for individual shooters who want a simple way to track firearms, ammo, range sessions, and maintenance without complex setup.

You can track multiple firearms of the same model by assigning each its own record name, notes, and configuration details. Ammo types are also tracked per inventory item and linked to range sessions.

More advanced workflows (including expanded ammo metadata and additional shooting disciplines) are areas we may grow into over time, based on user demand.

If you’d ever like to share specific tracking needs or examples, I’m always open to feedback at https://rangeready.app/support

- user input directly shapes the roadmap.

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2026-01-18*

This makes it super easy to monitor your inventory and see what you have at a glance. Integration with range days makes it a snap.

### 4/5 — Great app but needs polish

*2025-12-23*

I like the app overall and use it primarily to track rounds fired per weapon and maintenance intervals. However, I frequently run into friction when maintaining my ammo inventory.

The app requires a non-zero quantity for ammo entries. When I’m temporarily out of a regularly purchased round, I don’t want to delete the entry and later re-enter all the details (caliber, bullet type, weight, SKU, etc.). Allowing a zero quantity or an “out of stock” state would make inventory management much easier.

I don’t track lot numbers, so I use “date received” as a general inventory date. This works, but a clearer distinction between cataloging ammo types and tracking current stock would help.

I would also like the ability to track suppressors. Suppressors have maintenance and cleaning intervals just like firearms, especially rimfire cans, but there’s currently no good way to log suppressed round counts or schedule suppressor maintenance.

I’ve also encountered some confusing logic when logging range sessions. Entering a session after the fact (e.g., yesterday’s range trip) sometimes behaves differently than entering one in advance. I don’t always log trips beforehand, so past-dated entries should work consistently and intuitively.

Overall, the app is close to being excellent, but relaxing some rigid inventory assumptions and improving support for accessories and retroactive logging would significantly improve usability.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! In the new release (1.1.5) I addressed some of it:
1) Now ammo entry supports 0 as valid ammo count, it just displays "out of stock" label. You can also edit round count and increase it if you get a new batch (that's what I do for my records)
2) I fixed some inconsistencies with editing/logging range sessions, hope this resolved your issue, if not, please let me know and I'll fix it.

Suppressors are not in 1.1.5 release, but I'm thinking about how to add them to the app, as I'm getting similar requests from other users. If you have any ideas - please share!

Again, thank you for the feedback! This really helps improve the app.

### 5/5 — Super useful

*2025-11-02*

Works really well and easy to use.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2025-10-04*

Great App to track Firearms & Ammunition with maintenance. Would be great if we could add photo’s of the Firearm itself

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! A few users requested this feature now and it's in the backlog. I'll update as soon as the release with it is available to download!

### 1/5 — Why the stupid subscription model

*2025-09-25*

No option to just outright buy this app. You can either pay them monthly or yearly for the “privilege” of using it. So yeah, this one is getting deleted immediately.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! With the latest release (1.1.10) we introduced lifetime purchase options!
