## What is Roundsplits?

Roundsplit is the round counter for groups at a bar.

Every other split app handles the wrong problem. They take a single
receipt at the end of the night and divide it up. But that's not how
people actually drink. You go out for the night, someone gets the first
round, someone else gets the second, the table grows, somebody sits out
the shots - by closing time nobody remembers who paid for what, and
"let's just call it even" leaves at least one person quietly resentful.

Roundsplit tracks rounds AS THEY HAPPEN.

Tap whoever just paid, type the cost, hit save. The app keeps a running
tally for every person: rounds bought, money paid out, share of rounds
received, and a live net of who's up and who's down. When the night
ends, hit Settle Up - Roundsplit gives you the fewest possible
transactions to zero everyone out.

WHAT MAKES IT WORK

• Per-night rosters. Someone arrives at 9? They're only in the rounds
from 9 onward. No retroactive math.

• Per-round opt-outs. Designated driver, late arrival, vegan night -
exclude anyone from a single round in two taps.

• Greedy settlement. The Settle Up screen finds the minimum-transactions
matrix. Four people, three transactions. Five people, four. No "Alex
pays Sam $4.32 and Sam pays Jamie $4.32" nonsense.

• Keep-screen-on toggle. The phone won't lock between rounds while
  you're at the bar.

• Live "running tab" header that pours an amber fill as the tab climbs.

• Round history with timestamps, notes ("shots", "two pitchers"), and
the per-person split shown alongside the total.

• Edit or delete any round. Tap a round in history, change the payer,
the cost, who was in it.

• Re-open closed nights. Accidentally tapped End Night? It's not gone.

• Per-night currency override. Trip abroad? Set the night's symbol once.

WHAT IT IS NOT

Roundsplit does not move money. There is no Venmo, no Apple Cash, no
PayPal integration, no signup. It does the math. You handle the cash.

PRIVACY

Everything stays on the device. No accounts. No analytics. No cloud
sync. No third-party SDKs. Your nights live in this app's local storage
and disappear when you delete it. The privacy manifest declares only
UserDefaults access (used to persist nights and preferences).

ONE-TIME PURCHASE

$0.99. No subscription. No ads. Buy it once.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-06-26

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

### 2.0 — 2026-06-21

Roundsplits 2.0 — a pro upgrade for buying rounds, still 100% offline.

• The Kitty: everyone chips into a shared pot up front, with a live drain bar and per-person standings (refund-due vs. owes-pot).
• Cash-Out: settle an early leaver's exact position and remove them from the rest of the night.
• Record Payments: log paybacks so Settle Up shows only what's still outstanding.
• Night Recap: your spend pace, round cadence, and an end-of-night projection on a timeline.
• Per-Person Receipt to paste straight into the group chat.

No account, no network — your night stays on your device.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-15

What's New in Roundsplit 1.2

Two substantive additions - one for the moment the round lands, one for looking back.

Quick Round. When the Log Round sheet opens, a Quick Round row now appears at the top. One tap logs the round at your default cost for everyone at the table and closes the sheet immediately - no form, no typing, no tip selector. For regulars who always buy the same round, this cuts the usual three-tap flow to one. The default cost lives in Settings; Quick Round skips tip and note so you're back at the table in seconds.

My Nights stats tab. A new "My Nights" tab (the chart icon, between Nights and Settings) shows your lifetime spending across all closed-out nights: total spent, number of nights, total rounds logged, average tab per night, average spend per head, and your average group size. Below that, a Most Generous Regular card highlights who has paid the most rounds across all your closed nights. Biggest Night calls out your largest single tab. The leaderboard ranks everyone by total rounds paid, with a proportional bar so relative contributions are visible at a glance. Only ended nights count toward these totals - active nights are shown separately at the top so they don't skew your averages.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-14

What's New in Roundsplit 1.1

Three genuine additions — each one built for what actually happens at a bar.

Inline tip calculator. When you log a round, a tip row now appears below the cost field. Tap 15%, 18%, 20%, or 25% for a quick preset, or enter a custom rate. The tip amount and total update live, and when you save, the tip is included in the round cost and split fairly among all recipients. A note records exactly what was tipped so round history stays honest.

Who's Next? fairness view. Tap the menu on any active night (the ellipsis at top right) and choose Who's Next? to see a live fairness ranking. It divides each person's rounds-paid by their rounds-received to surface who is most due for the next round — no guessing, no awkward silences.

Full export from Settle Up. The Settle Up screen now offers two additional formats alongside the quick share text. Export CSV sends a spreadsheet-ready file (one row per round, with payer, amount, split count, note, and timestamp) straight to Numbers, Excel, or Files. Full Summary shares a complete text breakdown: per-person tallies, the full round log, and the settle-up matrix in one document.

### 1.0 — 2026-06-10
