Don’t know if this is a bug in the app or my doing something wrong. I tried it on a familiar 60 minute drive. The app shortened the driving distance by two miles, but drive time is 50% longer -- 90 minutes. Through a complicated series of turns in major city traffic, it put me on a narrow, twisty, hilly two lane road for a ten mile stretch which closely parallels a fast interstate highway. Optimal? In terms of distance, yes, but at great cost in time and significantly greater fuel burn.
