However, the only reason I used it before even though it had limited functionality was to see the event log right on the Home Screen of the app. For some reason they’ve now decided to hide that deep in the interface which makes no sense. It was way more useful where it was and now I a want to see events it’s way mote clicks than necessary. ### 3/5 — Convenient but buggy *2025-09-15, version 3.0.2* I really appreciate the functionality and particularly the push alerts. We rarely use this app, because the thing we most need to do is change SIMs. We carry two different carriers, but find it more useful to select which one we want to use at a given time ourselves, rather than having the router switch automatically. It would be so simple for this app to have under the cellular settings a button labeled “SIM A” and another labeled “SIM B” to allow a quick and simple switch. Since this isn’t in the app, we almost always use the web interface instead. ### 2/5 — It’s kind of useless, make it better *2019-02-10, version 1.5.2* This app is really lacking. I use in a boat setting changing wifi as wan networks a lot. I have the latest firmware and app is updated... Specifically scanning for WiFi in range and connecting to them for the WiFi as WAN feature. New upgrade broke all https connections to Peplink devices. Had to physically log into devices and change WAN Connection Access to http only to fix. I really like this app. We have multiple Pep devices deployed and I can check the status of all of them from my phone wherever I am. Just remember to turn on 'WAN Connection Access' so the app can reach your Pep device through the WAN side. ### 3/5 — Update broke Client List *2015-04-15, version 1.4* I like the new update especially with improved layout for iPhone 6+. However, now the Client List is blank! A tip for multiple sites; link them with a PepVPN, then you’ll get instant alerts if any site drops its internet connection. I use this daily to keep an eye on several balance routers (210, 310, 380, and Balance one). It works great. I would love to see actions one day (like bringing down a wan link etc). Also wish I could input multiple wan ip's so I could reach the device even if the primary link is down. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have typed out peplink in the App Store search bar hoping for something to be available. Now it's finally here, so far it works seamlessly with a Peplink Balance 30, though I wish we had a lot more control of the device through the app. Editing preferences, settings, managing what connections use what wan connection, etc are just some things I hope you guys manage to implement into the application for the near future.
