## What is Routine?

Build the day you want to repeat, and stop rebuilding it every morning.
Most days are not new. They have a shape, and your phone should already know it. Welcome to your Routine.

No onboarding questionnaire, no streaks to protect, and no collecting of your data.
Download it, write out a day once, choose which days it runs, and it fills those
days in for you. That's it.

Today is the screen you live in. No week strip, no month grid, nothing to navigate.
What is happening is in front of you, and anything else that comes up goes straight
onto the day.

Tomorrow holds every day ahead for a year, already filled in by your routines. Add
to any of them. Lift a routine off a single day when life happens, and the rest of
the week stays where it is.

Someday is for the things with no date yet. Park them, and give them a day when you
are ready.

Give a block a time, a tag, a reminder, and a place. Name and color your own tags.
Ask Siri to run a routine, add a block, or read your day back to you (coming in iOS 27). Put it on your
Home Screen and Lock Screen, and open it on iPad and Mac.

Your day stays yours. Everything syncs privately through your own iCloud, with no
account to create and no one watching.

You decide what your days look like, not an algorithm. Build it once, and let it
carry you. Download Routine today and see the difference it will make in your life!

### 3/5 — Good! Couple recommendations.

*2026-08-17*

I enjoy how simplistic the app is and the prices really aren’t that bad (0.99/month or 9.99 for life). You can create as many routines as you need.

My suggestions are as follows: please fix the glitch that occurs when you enter the app, as it switches the order of the routines. Additionally, it’d be cool if we could set these routines for a specific time of day, instead of just the tasks inside them (this would better accommodate time flexibility for many users). A final note— being able to hold and move any item I would be super handy, especially if one needs to rearrange task or routine order. Happy to update review if these changes are implemented!

### 5/5 — Finally Found Peace

*2026-05-14*

Not to be dramatic, but this app saved my relationship with my kids. The mother of my children and I are at constant odds; she’s very Type A and I’m very Type B. I definitely don’t make it easy on her or the kiddos when I’m late to picking up the kids for Dad’s weekend, and she definitely doesn’t let me stop hearing about it in court. But this app, through its useful tools and simplicity, helped me rally gain control of my planning. My favorite feature is the fact that I can set alarm reminders for my schedule, through the easy to use software. Genuinely so grateful to have found this app, and it’s even got a shoutout in court. Shout out to the developing team; keep up the great work.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 5.0.1 — 2026-08-16

Second update as part of the remodel:

• Routine clean up. Adding and editing a routine is now cleaner and more UI friendly
• App icon. New checkmarked app icon to resemble completed blocks
• Checklist(s) On/Off. If wanted, you can completely turn off the checklist in the app for all routines/blocks. Any routine/block will be auto-completed for the next day from the current day and put in the new Completed section within the Today tab. Importantly, you can turn off the checklist for your routine but keep it for your separate blocks allowing for full customization of your own style.
• Completed Blocks/Routines. A completed section in the Today tab that you can look back in history, bring blocks back, and search through
• New way to search in the Tomorrow tab. Find the exact day you need to add a block/task instantly and better via a future focused calendar.
• Quick Add. On the Home Screen, hold down on the Routine app icon to quickly add a block (for today), save for someday, or see what's tomorrow.
• Custom Minutes Increments. Now you can select in Settings to change the timeframes minutes intervals to be 1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minute intervals when scrubbing time.

Further major/minor bug fixes and improvements addressed across the app for both iPhone and iPad done as part of the refresh.

MacOS app coming soon... Stay tuned!

### 5.0 — 2026-08-12

Our biggest update yet. Routine has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Here's what we did in version 4.6 and we are stoked:

New
• Layout. A smooth new experience landing you right on Today. Always moving forward, never behind.
• Routine. Build a day once, choose the days it runs, and it fills those days in for you.
• Today. The one screen you live in. No week strip, no date picker, nothing to navigate.
• Tomorrow. Every day ahead for a year, already filled in. Add to any of them.
• Someday. Park anything that has no date. Give it a day when you're ready.
• Blocks carry a time, a tag, a reminder, a link, and a place.
• Tags you name and color yourself.
• Editing happens in place. Nothing slides up over your day.
• Set when a routine starts, when it ends, and which days it repeats.
• Take a routine off a single day without touching the rest of the week.
• Retire a routine and keep it. Bring it back whenever you want.
• Built for iPad and Mac.
• Your blocks and tags come across on first launch.

Fixed
• Light and dark follow your setting everywhere, sheets included.

### 4.51 — 2026-06-14

Changed up the Copy-to (named it From/To) functionality to something more simple and straightforward that reads like a proper "from date to date" format. Also improved the Repeat sheet so it doesn't feel so overwhelming. We hope this helps you with your Routine!

### 4.5 — 2026-06-10

Added offline support via iCloud, no more sign-in necessary either. Also added a fallback protection for deleting your data with a confirm full deletion if wanted. Fixed some other light bugs that were hindering user experience and added more smoothness to the app as a whole. Enjoy the updates and let us know if you have any feedback, bugs, or features you'd like!
