## What is Routine Timer & Habit Planner?

RUU is an app that helps you get through your daily routines.
Unlike a regular to-do list, it shows only what to do right now, with a timer. That means less time wondering, “What was I supposed to do next?”

RUU is especially useful for people with ADHD who struggle with procrastination, planning backward from a deadline, or forgetting things.

WHO RUU IS FOR

• You want your morning routine to go more smoothly
• You often notice the time you meant to leave has already passed and end up late
• You have tried habit apps before but stopped using them after a few days

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH RUU

● Build your own routines
Just put the tasks you do every day in order.

● Do one task at a time with a timer
See how much time is left for each step and focus only on what you are doing now.

● Hear the current task out loud
Even when your hands are full, you’ll know what to do next.

● Run routines from your Apple Watch
Keep going without opening your iPhone and getting pulled into something else.

● “Quick mode” for hard days
Turn it on to skip every nonessential task at once.
Use it to skip cleaning or studying on days when you’re at your limit.

● Add branches
Put different paths into a single routine.
For example: rainy days or sunny days, weekdays or weekends.

WHAT RUU DOES NOT DO

× Streak tracking
RUU does not include statistics showing how many days you have kept a habit going.
Breaking a streak can hurt a little. And if that makes you abandon the habit itself, the tracking has defeated the point.
If you’re okay with that, give RUU a try!

I hope it makes each day a little easier.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.0 — 2026-09-23

• Added collapsible weekday and choice branches, making complex routines easier to review and edit.
• You can now add “End Routine” to individual choice or weekday branches. Today’s choice is remembered across resumed sessions and synced devices, and can be cleared when needed.
• Refined the execution screen for compact devices, with clearer spacing and improved handling of long task names.
• Improved the task insertion indicator and made other small usability improvements.

### 1.8.1 — 2026-09-08

• Fixed a bug where the task list could stop responding to scrolling and swipes after switching apps with the Home bar swipe.
• Renamed the routine list sections to "Scheduled" and "Anytime" on both iPhone and Apple Watch, so they're clearer at a glance.
• Removed the "Branch end" card for a cleaner task list. Dragging a task to the end of a branch or out of it is now decided simply by where you drop it.
• The add-task button now responds visibly when pressed, and no longer opens the composer after you cancel a drag.
• Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-09-02

• Added an Appearance setting — follow the system, or keep the app in light or dark mode.
• The routine list on Apple Watch is now grouped and sorted by start time, just like on iPhone. Tap a header to collapse a section.
• Routines without a start time can now be reordered with a long-press drag.
• Tapping the "In progress on Apple Watch" banner outside its button now opens that routine without taking it over.
• Duplicate, pause, or delete a branch from the menu in its edit screen.
• Pausing a task or branch from its edit screen now takes effect when you tap the confirm button, not immediately.
• Fixed an issue where end-of-task vibrations stopped working after taking your Apple Watch off and putting it back on mid-routine.
• Fixed an issue where undo history could be lost while editing a routine.
• Added "Share RUU with friends" in Settings.
• Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-27

• New: Sync Blocks — place the same group of tasks in multiple routines, and changes to names, durations, and structure stay in sync automatically. Completion is still tracked separately per routine (creating blocks requires Premium).
• Voice guidance now speaks 22 languages, following your device's language settings.
• Apple Watch: added a manual sync button to the routine list.
• Apple Watch: on first launch, the app now shows a prompt to sync with your iPhone instead of sample routines.
• The duration auto-optimization page now stays open after picking a mode, so you can compare what each mode does.
• Menu and design refinements, plus minor bug fixes.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-19

• The task editor got smarter: check off today's completion right from the sheet, and use the new header menu to duplicate, pause, or delete a task.
• Tap a routine's estimated finish time to start it right away.
• Redesigned the Premium introduction as a swipeable carousel.
• Fixed: changing the duration of multiple tasks at once couldn't be confirmed unless you moved the picker first.
• Fixed: the "Hidden" section reopened on every launch even after you collapsed it.
• Smoother reordering — the card now stays right under your finger, and the insertion marker lines up precisely.
• Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
