## What is Row by Word?

Every word buys you time.

Row by Word is a word-survival puzzle where letters descend through seven rows and the water keeps rising. Catch the tiles you need, arrange them in your rack, and submit 3–11 letter English words before the flood reaches the top.

There is no countdown. You choose when the storm advances. Rescue the right letters, hold your rack for a stronger word, or play now to make room. Rare letters, longer words, and chains score more. A six-letter rescue using a marked flood-line tile—or a clean sweep—can even restore a flooded row.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

• CLASSIC — Outlast an endless storm, build your score, and reach Storm Surge when the pressure peaks.
• DAILY — Take on the same 20-wave forecast as other players and climb the Game Center leaderboard.
• THEMED STORMS — Find hidden target words drawn from topics including nature, culture, and science. A featured theme rotates free each week.

• Tap letters from the board, then drag to reorder your rack.
• Return freshly caught tiles to their exact board cells before the next rain.
• See danger coming with clear rescue and danger rows.
• Step away at any time; your current run saves automatically.
• Play the core game and bundled dictionary offline.
• Compare scores and unlock achievements through Game Center.
• Choose larger interface text, high contrast, and reduced motion.

FAIR BY DESIGN
