## What is Rowloft?

Row 45 is still row 45.

A row counter and pattern tracker for crochet and knitting. Your projects live on this phone, and an account is optional. Sign in if you want them on your other phones too.

THE PATTERN AND THE COUNT, ON ONE SCREEN
• Import the PDF or photo you already bought, from a designer's shop or a magazine you scanned.
• A highlight bar sits on the row you're on. Drag it as you go. Open the app tomorrow and it's still there.
• Row steps follow your count through the pattern. Rowloft lists every line in the PDF that starts with Row or Rnd, in the designer's words, or you mark the rows yourself on a scan. Each +1 moves the bar to the next row, and to the next page when the row is there.
• A mini counter floats over the pattern, so you never leave the page to count.

BUILT FOR HANDS THAT ARE ALREADY BUSY
• The +1 button takes up most of the screen. Tap it without looking.
• A buzz every ten rows, a firmer one when you reach your target.
• Long-press the button, or tap Adjust, to go back a row, jump ten, reset to 0 or type the number. Undo sits right under the count.
• Count rows, or rounds if you work in the round.
• Add up to two extra counters for a shell repeat or your increase rounds. Link one and it ticks over on its own every few rows.
• Pin a note to row 30 if that's where the color changes.

NO ACCOUNT TO START
Start counting without signing up. When you want your projects on another phone, sign in with Apple, Google or your email, and Pro keeps projects, counts, patterns and your stash in sync. Export is free and complete: projects and counts as JSON and CSV, plus your pattern files exactly as you brought them in.

FREE IS NOT A TRIAL
Your first project gets every counter, your pattern and your yarn stash. No countdown. Finish the blanket on it if you like.

PRO, WHEN ONE PROJECT IS NOT ENOUGH
Pro adds unlimited projects and patterns, sync across your phones, and row steps. Choose yearly, with the first 7 days free, or monthly. Cancel any time in your App Store settings. Bought Rowloft Pro before? It's still yours, with everything Pro adds. Restore it in Settings on a new phone.

Whatever you decide, what you've already made stays yours to edit. If Pro ends, every project, count and pattern stays and keeps counting.

US OR UK TERMS, YOUR CALL
A "dc" means what you mean by it. Pick your standard in Settings, and choose crochet or knitting for each project. Dark mode and larger text throughout.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-11-05

Row steps: Rowloft lists the rows in your PDF pattern, or you mark them on a scan, and the highlight moves to the next row with every +1.
Sign in with Apple, Google or your email to keep your projects on all your phones. An account is optional.
Rowloft Pro is now yearly, with the first 7 days free, or monthly. Bought Pro before? It's still yours.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-11-01

Projects now have notes. Tap the project name above the counter to open its overview, then add a note: a hook swap, a size change, where you left off. Notes are included when you export your data.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-27

You can now import several pattern files at once. Setup has a Back button, so you can change an earlier answer. Linked repeat counters no longer drop below zero after you reset your rows, and project cards are easier to scan.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-22

Rowloft now asks for a rating only after you've counted on a few different days, and only once you leave the counter. Deleting all data clears that history too. Purchases and privacy details were also updated behind the scenes.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-19

Choose whether the counter shows rows finished or the row you're working on. Your lock-screen count matches.
Draw on patterns with a pen or highlighter, and add notes.
Mark a column as well as a row on tapestry and C2C charts.
See an estimate of the time spent on each project.
Restore an export when you move to a new phone.
