The AI voice is poor and it was difficult to get to a real person. On the 12th at Heathrow it told me the driver was 8 minutes away, then 11 minutes , and finally 81 miles!!! ### 2/5 — Rude Driver *2024-10-06, version 3334.6.17* Driver didn’t help with the luggage at all ### 1/5 — Extortionate prices & bad drivers *2024-03-18, version 3334.5.17* Used to be very convenient option but these days the rates are so far high and unusual. The drivers too don’t want to listen any advice on routes. I have moved on to 001 taxies who provide better rates and good drivers comparatively. The problem is that Royal accepts too many pre-bookings especially for Monday mornings and then when your driver is supposed to arrive you get a message saying sorry, we’re experiencing high demand! Anytime I book in advance as soon as it gets to the arrival time the driver is 20 minutes away. Today this happened and I watched from the doorway while putting on my shoes as the driver arrived and sat there for a minute or two did not bother to ring me and nearly drove off. I’ve had it with this company. I have numerous health conditions and struggle with my commute to work but I have been able to rely on the bus service more than this company. He attempted to use the traffic as an excuse as to why he had taken me through Marston up near Summertown and round back again through. Marston and back up towards headington and Wheatley. I turned my camera on and I let him know that I was aware of what he was doing and he kept on making comments saying that I was welcome to make a complaint and that no one would listen to me. I’m assuming this is because I’m a woman. I don’t particularly appreciate being Scammed especially by a racist sexist man in a taxi. ### 1/5 — Not working *2024-12-26, version 3334.6.17* Don’t bother downloading. At 8.33 I had not received any notification that it was on its way. I called them and the automated service could not give me an estimate of when it would arrive, just said they were trying to find a driver. I then spoke to someone who said they were trying to find me a taxi driver in the next 10 mins, but that it would take longer as they would then need to drive to my house. I gave up as I had a train to catch, and used Freenow and had a taxi within 4 minutes. At that time in the morning Royal Cars has very few taxis available, if any, as they are doing school runs.
