Fantastic streamlined and easy to use

I love how easy this app is to use. It provides everything we need for our preflight survey and stores at all to ensure our recordkeeping is up-to-date. The ability to edit checklists within is also a great feature to have. Very happy with the ease of use and integration into our operations.

Frustrating and Dysfunctional

Cant remember the PW, so I use the Forgot password to create a new one. Message is the account is not activated. No other buttons, nowhere to go for help. Back to log on, it says the password is wrong. Again, no way to resolve the issue. Came here to leave a review and saw an update available, so I updated. Now I can’t even get the keyboard up to enter the info. BTW, the reason I wasnt using it was thatI am a MAAC member, so I am supposed to get the Pro version free, but there was nowhere to say I was a MAAC member, and they want me to pay. This all around has been a bad experience trying to use an app that wants you to pay for information that is available free if you know where to look.

The best drone app I could find!

I’ve been using RPAS Wilco for a couple of months now, and if I had to describe it in one word—convenient. I started with the free plan and was immediately impressed by how much time it saved me on site surveys and checklists. After seeing how powerful the app really is, upgrading to Pro was a no-brainer.

What really sets RPAS Wilco apart is the access to CFS and VFR charts—no other app provides this data that I could find. Everything I need for my drone flights (airspace info, site surveys, flight logs, and compliance tools) is all in one place. It just makes flying so much easier.

App keeps crashing for me

Noticed in the last couple of weeks that the app keeps crashing. Today is March 25, 2024. Not sure if it is just me or if others are experiencing the same issue. I’ve already reset my phone and removed and reinstalled the app.

Doesn’t work with an iPhone 6

When trying to add a new RPAS The save button is off screen and not accessible on my iPhone 6 .

First review of an app ever

I contacted RPAS WILCO at 16:45 on a Sunday with a very minor issue. (Not with the performance of the app)

I was shocked to receive a reply from them less than half an hour later, and 10 minutes after THAT, the issue was resolved.

Not very intuitive and crashes repeatedly

This Aop crashes repeatedly, I’m not even able to contact support via the App because it crashes as soon As I press any button in the menu of the app.

Great app for Pro RPA pilots

App spits out lots of data. Every thing you need for DOT in Canada. Give you site surveys. And post flight reports. But does not track accumulated air time. On HTML site it has accumulated air time. But is not exportable. Would be great if it had accumulated air time in report. Also app is a little glitchy after submitting a site survey. Take a long time to get check list going. You have to go in and out of app to get it to show up. I like the multiple battery swaps on log. Well worth getting if you are a professional RPA pilot.

Relieved

I am so glad to hear that RPAS Wilco will be retaining all the site survey capabilities, this was a key function for my drone operations and I was not looking forward to having to go back to manual methods of creating these.

Perfect and free

If you are flying a RPAS that weighs over 250 grams in Canada then you know there are specific requirements such as recording flight logs and site assessments. This app ensures compliance easily and for free. Other comparable apps cost $50.00.

Amazing!

Easy and intuitive to use. Great detailed maps, easy to spot areas where I can’t fly requiring permission. Site survey a great added touch. Simply...just works exactly as expected and fits my needs.
