### 3/5 — Kinda fun

*2022-09-02, version 1.55*

But updates every week, which is every time I log in, get old. Character development seems nuanced (skill trees), but I don’t know when these come into play since I am not in a guild(don’t play enough)and not much is explained. It’s not my ‘main’ game, but I am liking it enough to play once a week or so. Also, drains battery too much to play very long anyways. Nice graphics.

Update: Joined a guild. Makes a HUGE difference in the amount of in-game currency.

### 3/5 — Great framework - needs a bit more work

*2022-08-31, version 1.55*

The game is unique and content is enjoyable although at times seems to be a bit of an extended grind for some points and progression is not smooth at all.

The biggest complaint is that the game speed of 4x (the only playable speed imo) is locked behind a subscription and although it seems to be worth it for me now is most certainly causing people to leave the game or not want to continue in it especially the more content created becoming more and more time consuming.

### 3/5 — I Want to Love It…

*2022-08-15, version 1.53*

I really like the idea of the game and it’s cute, with lots of potential, but as much as I want to love it, I can’t enjoy it because it keeps randomly crashing on me. My attempt to contact support ended with a, “Failed to load messages.” I am disillusioned by this and cannot recommend the game highly because the random crashes make playing impossible. I hope it gets fixed in the future so I can enjoy it.

### 4/5 — Great, but way too much waiting.

*2022-07-27, version 1.50*

The game periodically needs to go back to retrieve the next bit of the plot. There’s quite a long wait each time it happens. You have to touch the icon on the screen to “reload” the game.

I keep a book handy and go back-and-forth. Aside from this drawback, I completely love it, so far anyway. I’ve only played a few hours.

### 4/5 — It’s great so far

*2022-07-23, version 1.45*

The only issues I have is the game crashes every couple mins. And the loading time when starting the game is a little long. But other then them two it’s pretty good I’ve been enjoying it so far. I would like to see the game keep improving.

### 3/5 — This game is pretty fun.. but…

*2022-07-09, version 1.43*

This game needs some serious game mechanic rework. There are a lot of things that this game does well like dice mechanic and RPG style gameplay. However there is a point where you can’t level up because the main quest monster levels are way too high and there is an effective way to catch up leaving you pretty much way behind from the level you need to finish the quest.

### 4/5 — Day 2 and liking it

*2022-06-27, version 1.43*

On day 2. I like the board game feel and strategy of choosing which heroes to use and which spells. There is a lot going on here- battles, dungeons, pvp, dice slots, armor plus story.

My game has crashed 4 times in about 3 hours of play.

So far I’ve been able to play without feeling like I have to spend money which I appreciate.

### 2/5 — Say hi bob is right

*2022-05-29, version 1.41*

This game isn’t bad but I wouldn’t necessarily say it has any real play value. It’s something you download thinking is cool at first, but then release it’s like every other VIP bonus game, where if you don’t have it you realize that the game spams with you ads to get you to buy them. You definitely don’t need them, but if we’re being honest it’s annoying to know someone will beat you because they spent 100$ to get bonus damage on a character. Anyways, what I’m getting at is the game isn’t horrible but the gameplay is a auto play button on 2x speed while the rest is just you sitting there waiting for something interesting to happen.

### 2/5 — Very fun, too bad you'll have to pay...

*2022-04-27, version 1.32*

Fun game mechanics, too bad by level 32, you'll hit opponent difficulty without the ability to replay missions or raise your troops power enough to battle through. You'll need better gear (gotta pay $), better dice (again, pay $), better heroes (you guessed it, $).

This is all by the 4th "campaign" (out of 10, I think). You can sorta replay the campaigns you finished, in Relic mode, but it comes at a 3x cost of energy per roll. So a huge grind to maybe pick up new gear or dice, but it will still only be at lower levels (white green and blue)... Purple, Orange, Yellow (the best stuff) will of course cost $.

You get no xp for winning battles (which would help greatly) and no mechanics to get better dice, even if it was a small chance. Guild rewards are exactly the same every time the guild completes something and they are of no help to you. Would be good if they mixed it up and had chances to get higher gear and dice, etc...

Could have been amazing if they didn't put up a huge difficulty wall by the 4th campaign, which the only way around is to pay $.

### 4/5 — Fun

*2022-03-21, version 1.22*

The game is fun. It would be helpful if we were able to click on details about the characters when choosing who to fight as well as the details of the attacks during a fight. I don’t like using auto fight, so it would be helpful to be able to be reminded of the various attacks before choosing them. Thanks. Good game.

### 3/5 — tiresome & goblins

*2022-03-02, version 1.22*

I was hoping for a long term game, but my enjoyment ended early.

The dice rolling is clever and fun. For about a day. It then becomes tiresome when you miss your rolls and have to loop around the board and hope for better luck next time. During which, you’ll eventually land on a goblin who will sabotage your forge. Repeatedly. Because the game tries to extract the joy from your soul.

*** Devs, the goblin mechanic is rubbish. They add zero entertainment to the game. Even less when 3+ goblins are in the forge. Limit them to one spot or get rid of them entirely. ***

*** The UI is much too slow. Long wait between dice rolls on game board. Gambling is double slow (get rid of second dice roll). Battles need 4x speed. ***

If you’re FTP, your game will effectively end after 2-3 days when your XP level hits a brick wall. Around level 28-29 in chapter 4 versus L35 baddies.

Your only meaningful XP comes from completing story quests, but you’ll be too under leveled to win the battles and thus cannot complete the quest in order to gain XP. Full stymie.

Upgrade your gear if you have the gold, but you’ll run out of coin and still be too weak.

Summon more heroes? But the summon scrolls are very few and far between. Save until you can summon 10x for best results. That will take many days to stockpile. More scroll rewards are desperately needed.

### 4/5 — Great basic game, but wish it were more D&D like!

*2022-02-27, version 1.21*

I like the questing aspect of the game and that you can gather heroes to your team. The only thing I wish were different is I was hoping to roll my own character and develop them how I want. Otherwise I love everything about the game!

### 2/5 — Not bad, too many crashes, too much push to spend

*2022-02-23, version 1.21*

It's a fun game but gets tedious fast. Aside from the frequent crashing (which causes you to lose everything if in battle) the game has way too many forms of currency each of which is required for purchases of different kinds. The only reason for doing that is to always keep the player spending cash. It seems like you're getting good value when you dish out $5 or $10 for a booster pack full of coins and jewels and energy and items and more but when you have to also have too accumulates any number of other types of points or relics or shards or . . . It goes on and on. It's just too much.

### 2/5 — Fun game but…

*2022-02-18, version 1.21*

You hit a wall somewhere around the 4th map. You can’t get past the dragon as he kills you too quickly. There is no way to level up because you only really gain good exp in the campaign. I imagine to get passed this wall, you need to spend big money to get the epic dice and gear packs. I am alright with throwing a few bucks at a game every now and then, but these packs are $20. Oh well, time to move onto the next pay wall game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Free To Play…for a day or 2

*2022-06-26, version 1.43*

The game was slow, but fun. Until you hit board 4. At that time you’re low on coins, materials, summon scrolls and so severely under leveled that you need to pay to progress in the story mode. Which is a new concept, but terrible. If you want to waste time for a day or 2, go ahead and download. If you’re looking for an engaging game to play for a while, either invest ~$40 in this game or find a different one. This is not a game for me anymore and will be deleting after this review.

### 1/5 — Game frozen at launch screen

*2022-05-12, version 1.40*

Week 3 of not being able to play and the newest update didn’t help. I started the game 3 weeks ago and got to the point of repairing a bridge that same night.. the game crashed, and has been stuck at the launch screen after restarting (window with options for campaign, market, summons, hero, shop, etc). Won’t go any further.. completely frozen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, even installed on a newer iPhone 11 Pro… still frozen.

### 1/5 — Game stalls while starting

*2022-03-06, version 1.22*

Wold love to give a better review but unfortunately I am unable to get the game to work. Just after selecting language via English, the screens changes to an opening Orc warrior character saying “Burn the town! Shatter the accursed stone! Don’t slay the villagers - The masters want thralls.” And I am unable to click continue or even skip at the top right of the screen. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, so I shouldn’t have any issues running the game. Dev’s and fixes?

### 1/5 — Chance to be 5 stars

*2022-02-28, version 1.22*

So I got to board 4 and can’t progress because you can only get experience from quest. Well you can’t move on the board until you beat the boss which the enemies went from level 30 to out of no where a level 35 boss. I am stuck at level 29 and literally can’t move or progress anywhere and can’t level my guys up because I can’t get past the boss. So literally just stuck with no possibility of ever moving on.

### 1/5 — Fun, but…

*2022-02-17, version 1.21*

The game frequently crashes to Home Screen (at least every 45-60 minutes that it’s open) with no identifiable trigger. I can deal with that.

Like every mobile game, it’s designed for micro transactions, sure. There’s all sorts of mini-modes, side quests, energy, rotating game modes for loot, etc. cool, I’m good with that. Getting my feet wet.

Early game they’re teasing with decent amounts of gems, since that’s mobile gamings go-to for top premium currency that you’re going to have to spend real money on to advance later. It is what it is. Alright, save a couple of days, try to buy a higher tier item with the premium currency, something that might last me carry me a bit, right, especially since it’s nifty that you can unequip items in this one.

—YOU NEED TO SPEND REAL MONEY TO INCREASE VIP LEVEL TO BUY ITEMS WITH PREMIUM CURRENCY IN THE STORES—

No thanks.

### 1/5 — Fun game, but crashes and no dev support

*2022-02-06, version 1.1.1*

I really enjoy playing this game, but it crashes often. The biggest problems I have with this game is that there are limited entries to certain events, and if it crashes during one of these, then the entry price is lost with no way to accomplish the daily completion quest because of it. The other issue being that there obviously isn’t a “randomness” built into the dive throws during board movements. It is clearly adjusted to make certain tiles have a higher hit ratio when near.

I am giving this game one star because of my other gripe, which is that I have submitted multiple support tickets to the devs, and have not had a single reply or attempt to address the issue. I would love to give this a four or five star review because I really do enjoy playing it otherwise.

### 1/5 — Yet another falsely “FREE” app…

*2022-02-02, version 1.1.1*

After playing it only two days I hit the inevitable out of sufficient resources to upgrade, yet you need to level up to move the story/campaign on… so you can pay way too much real money if you want to continue playing….

Getting so tired of these games, it was so much better when you paid a little bit for the game and could enjoy the whole game, maybe getting additional content and paying for that…

### 1/5 — Untruthful randomness

*2022-01-19, version 0.900.1*

The game could be great, but the designers have chosen to make the “random” absolutely NOT random. I kept track of rolls for the High Roller for example. Absolutely biased. Also the likelihood of landin pg on gremlins. Absolutely not random. Statistically the layout is so unlikely to be impossible, unless the devs are … creative in their accounting. Now ask why? Why would they bother? Why annoy the player? If you want unfair odds, at least be honest about them. I refuse to stay with games that “suggest” fairness, but deliver nothing of the sort. Zero stars.

### 2/5 — Amazing but needs a bug fix

*2022-08-06, version 1.52*

As an avid video gamer and also Dungeons & Dragons player, I LOVE this game. The dice rolling, the different characters, the evolving story, the character development, the whole package. That being said, there must be some kind of bug right now, because by the time I was 22% done with Pardath (the first section), the app had already crashed more than a dozen times. I reeeally hope this gets fixed soon!

### 2/5 — Design 10; Implementation 3

*2022-07-27, version 1.50*

This game would rate 5 stars if it worked as well as it should. The story and characters are interesting, the game is challenging but not impossible, and there are lots of different things to do. Unfortunately, I am seldom able to play more than 10 minutes without it crashing. Then it takes about a minute and a half to reload. They tell me it’s a work in progress and they’re trying to fix this but so far the updates I have seen have been geared toward expanding the game rather than fixing what is already there.

UPDATE: After a couple more updates to the game that expanded it without fixing what was broken, I’m bailing out. Too bad. It could have been great.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple but complex

*2022-09-06, version 1.55*

Very entertaining games. You can spend hours playing it and not even realize it. There’s so many small parts to the game that keeps you wanting to play more. Gathering and collecting small things to improve you’re deck is what I like. I’ve upgraded my favorite characters I enjoy playing with and they are so much more powerful. The feeling you get after working so hard to upgrade your fighters and winning is amazing. Animations are great as well.

### 5/5 — D&D on your phone

*2022-08-01, version 1.51*

This game offers all the aspects of D&D. You create your own traveling party and customize their armor, talents, and bonus damage/attacks. Many daily individual quests. New updates regularly for arena battles, bonus quests, and more. Five stars on every level.

### 5/5 — Quick to play and addicting

*2022-07-29, version 1.51*

If you want a light RPG you can pick up or stop when you have the time… this would be the game for you if you could just put it back down… watch out the time can vanish when playing this game.

### 5/5 — Wow this game

*2022-07-19, version 1.43*

I just love this game a lot I really do and definitely easy to play like seriously bravo developers, artist, and music producers for this game it’s awesome and whoever else I missed that had a partaking in making this game kudos to you all now I have a game to binge play everyday ^^

### 5/5 — Love this buggy game!

*2022-06-18, version 1.43*

Instead of solely numeric stats, the designers added a dice component that really throttles the RPG element. It’s crunchy yet still simple letting you explore countless build options on top of cool toons with cool backstories in brial liana graphics. it’s so good, you almost don’t mind the incessant crashing.

### 5/5 — Complex & fun game

*2022-05-23, version 1.41*

This is a cool rpg-type game with board game aesthetics. There are several levels of customization and you don't have to sacrifice any leveled characters (unlike certain other games). There are a few bottlenecks in difficulty but there is always something to do to build up your party. Also character designs are quite varied and interesting!

### 5/5 — DND for your phone

*2022-05-06, version 1.32*

When I first saw this game I thought it was like DND, I downloaded it and tried it days later. It starts off showing the ropes but can feel a little boring, paying attention is important. It’s easy to level up and play for long periods of time, there is an auto battle so you can fight and do other things without paying much attention. But it is fun, I think there should be easier ways to upgrade characters abilities more though.

### 5/5 — Good story driven RPG with RNG elements

*2022-04-24, version 1.32*

The story is engaging and enjoyable right off the bat. Slowly introducing mechanics over time to ease you into the systems with some decent pacing. After the tutorial it slows down a bit due to being paced by die rolls but it is still fun. Having a good time so far.

### 5/5 — Better than Raid, for certain

*2022-02-26, version 1.21*

It’s styled a lot like raid shadow legends, but I feel like the combat abilities are a lot better and instead of just having progression towards combat(which wasn’t entirely good anyways) there’s progression towards the board, which also drives progress for the campaign as well. I like it a lot more, and would probably play it a lot more as well.

### 5/5 — Yes… just yes…

*2022-02-03, version 1.1.1*

Holy moly… I hope this game doesn’t get sued for using “Whitestone” from critical role because it’s actually surprisingly really well done… super fluid, engaging story, tons of customization, and dice rolling. Ugh. Everything I wanted in a mobile rpg without the annoying pay to win gimmicks.
