## What is RPG Soundboard App?

RPG Soundboard is an audio companion for tabletop RPG game masters, featuring a user interface designed for easier, live playback. Load your own music and sound effects, organize them across multiple soundboards and playlists, and increase the immersion of your table.
Multiple soundboards & playlists, keep separate setups for each campaign, each with independent
playlists, players and sound types.

30+ real-time audio effects — Apply DSP room presets live during playback: Dungeon, Tavern, Forest, Castle Hall, Crypt, Dragon Lair, Battlefield, and more

Remote control — Any device can host or join a session: start a server on your PC, phone, or tablet and connect from any other device on your local network, with real-time sync across all connected clients

Drag-and-drop reordering — Rearrange players on the fly with animated swaps

Sound Types — Tag any sound player as Ambient, SFX, or Music using color-coded categories. Create your own types to match your workflow.

Your audio files stay on your machine. The app never uploads them anywhere.

New Features:

Session Recap — press Start Session when your game begins and End Session when it's over, and you get a shareable card of the night: how long you played, your most-used sounds and the split between your sound types. Save it as a PNG or copy it straight to the clipboard, in a dark or parchment finish.
The bottom bar shows a live recording indicator with elapsed time and a running count of sounds played, so you always know when a session is being recorded.
Pick your system — starting a session asks what you're playing: Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, The One Ring, Vampire: The Masquerade, Cyberpunk RED, or anything else. The card is styled for it, in that system's own colours and lettering.

Bug fixes:

Fixed Start/Stop Server using the same icons as Start/End Session, which made them impossible to tell apart in the navbar — the server buttons now have their own icon on every layout.

### 1.4.3 — 2026-06-28

- Medieval Fantasy starter pack. Now you can import the Medieval Fantasy starter pack directly into the app
- Soundboard import & export on iPhone and iPad. You can now export your soundboard to a .rpsb file and share or back it up, and import soundboards from files directly on iOS
- After importing a soundboard from a file, the app now automatically switches to the newly imported soundboard
