As a free alternative you can Phyphox gyroscope and look at z axis. It will give you the rotation speed in rad/s. At least on my iPhone 13 Pro *2024-01-29, version 5.10* This app had me very confused. Had all of my tables running fast with extremely high wow and flutter. Now I know my quartz lock Technics SP-25 and my Pioneer PL-550 Run dead perfect. Used my prior app and it noted a perfect 33.33 for both of them. Tested my direct drive Luxman PD-277 and again, very close at 33.30. This would be my expected results. But for some reason, my app no longer allows me to save new turntable data. I deleted a bunch of the duplicates I had submitted thinking I might’ve reached my limit, but that’s not the case, because even with just a few measurements in my history, it no longer allows me to save new measurements. This bans fees and pricing that is hidden before the contract is made (in this case at the moment the app is downloaded). This is because it only operates a limited number of times before a fee is required to continue using it. This fee MUST be shown along with any unavoidable taxes and fees before the app is downloaded. The penalty for breaching this is a fine of up to 10% of the vendor’s annual turnover. It was frozen at 33.33, and there doesn’t seem to be any button to start the tests either. I’m not sure if my phone is just lacking the gyroscope, but it seems to know when it’s spinning as the display follows. When I got the strobe disk dialed right in, I double checked with this app, and it showed 33.35 and a wow/flutter of 0.22% which seems accurate to my ears.
