## What is RPN?

RPN-67 NP is the non-programmable version of RPN-67 Pro, the first complete simulation of Hewlett-Packard's HP-67 legendary programmable calculator for iOS. Produced from 1976 to 1982, the HP-67's capability to store programs on magnetic cards, wide array of functions, merged keycodes, indirect addressing and other enhancements made it a huge success among scientists, engineers and other professionals. Thousands of programs were written for it.

RPN-67 NP allows you to load and run 25 original HP sample program cards. It lacks the program creation and card management features of the Pro version, as well as its massively expanded array of functions and operations. Apart from these restrictions, RPN-67 NP is a very capable vintage scientific calculator.

Features:

• "Live" display of stack, memory registers, program counter, flags
• Virtual paper tape printer
• E-mail or print the paper tape
• Cut/copy/paste display value
• 30 selectable background images, even add your own.

More features the HP-67 never offered:

• Non-volatile memory - stack, registers, program
• Status indicators for prefix keys (f, g, h, STO, RCL, GTO, DSP)
• Keycode-to-command translation while single-stepping a program
• Cancel SST or BST operation by sliding your finger off the depressed key

All advanced features may switched off with a single setting, allowing you to experience a real HP-67 as closely as possible.

### 5/5 — Absolutely first class

*2020-04-04*

A superb rendition of one of Hewlett Packard's best ever programmable calculators - now on steroids, thanks to modern computing power.

The calculator not only works much faster than the original and apparently without fault, it also makes very good use of the iPad screen in showing the stack and registries.

Anyone even vaguely familiar with RPN will surely find it impossible to award less than the full five stars. *****

### 5/5 — Just like the real thing

*2019-06-22*

I got one of these in 1978 and discovered RPN. I have never used anything but RPN calculators since. I agree that the audible key clicks can be annoying, but I usually keep the sound turned off on my iPad anyway. This is a great emulation of my long dead HP67.

### 1/5 — Can’t hand out less than one star, unfortunately

*2018-11-13, version 2.6*

Ohhh, that hurts. The desecration of a great calculator.

### 3/5 — Nostalgia!

*2015-10-05, version 2.5*

I bought a HP67 as an engineering student in 1979. I remember it cost a fortune and I was so excited to get it home and start using it. It saw me through the rest of the course and was invaluable to me. This app brings back so many memories. I would like to load the civil engineering pack, which I later added to my original calculator, but loading the extra cards from the developer's website needs a Ph.D. in astro physics and a Mac computer apparently. This needs to be simplified so the program cards can be imported directly into the app. Anyway, not bad overall for what, in reality, is just a few dollars.

### 5/5 — Key Clicks

*2014-09-10*

Some people like the clicking sounds; I count myself as one of them. It tells me that the key I pressed performed its function. If you had looked in the app's settings, you would have found that the key clicks can be set to medium, high, and OFF. Before you complain about something, it pays to take a little time and actually learn about the app.

### 4/5 — Annoying clicking sounds

*2014-09-05*

This is a beautifully written tribute to the original, that almost perfectly follows every function. So why does it make an annoying noise whenever you touch a key? Is this a plot from TI? Seriously, who would ever want this? It stinks! Please add the option to turn off the "clicking" sounds.

**Developer response:** Set the sound volume to 0 in "Settings". Problem solved.

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2014-03-05*

This is a virtual HP67 which is very nice and quite special compared to the many generic RPN
apps now available. Note that the Pro version allows access to about every program PAC that was made for this calculator. Because I used an HP41C when I was younger it was a pleasure to be able to enter data without needing to examine the keyboard each time.

### 5/5 — Very nice

*2014-02-22, version 2.0*

Very nice retro HP calculator!

### 5/5 — amazing

*2013-06-06*

it just works and brings back the 70s - very impressive how much was possible and is again on this little machine!

this app is well maintained and up-to date.

### 5/5 — Another work of art

*2013-03-22, version 1.0*

Those who grew up enjoying the evolution of HP calculators no doubt loved them as much as I did. Along with their superior physical attributes as well as the lovely RPN, the old HP calculators are still my preferred device. Willy has again outdone himself in the realism he brings to this latest addition to his collection. Highly recommended.
