### 4/5 — Leesa

*2026-07-02, version 9.7.2*

I love seeing my photos, it makes me feel lighter putting it all out there. I don’t have to hide what I’m eating. It’s a weight off.
I do find logging food can be a bit lengthy. The process could be streamlined a bit more.

### 4/5 — Love the App, although a few bugs

*2026-06-04, version 9.7.2*

Loving the app so far. It makes communication with my clinician nice and simple. Although I’ve noticed I’m not receiving notifications despite troubleshooting it myself 🤷🏼‍♀️

### 5/5 — Great integrated tool

*2026-03-21, version 9.7.0*

I love that you enter thoughts meals feelings behavior plus you are given emotional skills. I love that you can add photos and back log. I love that clinicians can be linked. I just started but I'm feeling very empowered.

### 5/5 — Really amazing thank you

*2026-03-17, version 9.7.0*

❤️🥺

### 5/5 — Excellent app for recovering ED

*2026-03-03*

I just finished an ED program and was looking for an app that I could use to continue my ED logging etc.
This was suggested by my RD. It is an excellent app. Very easy to use. The app is built more or less on the CBT & DBT framework. If your clinicians use the app, you can share your data with them. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Simple and straightforward

*2026-01-21, version 9.7.0*

Intuitive and straightforward app that makes communication with team and logging smoother.

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-01-10, version 9.7.0*

A good app, but I think there should be test to see if you are properly anorexic

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2025-12-27, version 9.7.0*

This app is really well done and helpful.

### 5/5 — Recovery Record

*2025-12-07, version 9.6.7*

This is an amazing app! I can’t believe how comprehensive it is. Recovering from an eating disorder is really difficult; but this app gives me hope that someday it just may happen.

### 5/5 — Recovery

*2025-11-16, version 9.6.7*

It’s really helping me

### 4/5 — Does the job

*2025-10-28*

I’d love to see the design get overhauled. But it is helpful. I do find it frustrating that you’re unable to go back into a log and choose if you ate half, some, etc. I normally log before eating, but would want to make it accurate after.

### 5/5 — This app is actually so amazing

*2025-10-19, version 9.6.5*

This app helps me work through my urges and emotions without shame or guilt. This app makes me feel so welcome and seen AND best part yet is that you can actually use it and get help without having to pay. THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2025-10-16, version 9.6.5*

I like how easy it is to use. So much easier than any logging type app I have used before. I like how it auto recognizes my food in the picture I upload. I like how it lets me add customs to the list. I like the rewards that it gives me in the form of fun songs. Those are just a few of the things, but there are more wonderful things about this app. Just using it is helping me be self-aware. At first it was intimidating and it seemed like there are too many options to ever figure out. But I’m so glad I overcame that and started to use it.

### 5/5 — Recovery

*2025-10-15, version 9.6.5*

Perfect for ED recovery. I love that we can take pictures of our food and it’s time stamped also the through record and coping skills and affirmations to
Remind us all to keep going!!

### 5/5 — Perfect for me

*2025-10-12, version 9.6.5*

It does exactly what I need - track food generally and hunger and fullness cues, and my dietician stays connected and can check it. Amazing!

### 5/5 — Noelle

*2025-10-08, version 9.6.4*

this app has helped me with my recovery- seeing it down on paper shows me how little i take care of myself

### 5/5 — Good, especially for being free

*2025-10-01, version 9.6.4*

It would be nice if you could customize the questions in each check in more similar to AteMate. But good job on the app it gets the job done

### 5/5 — It’s great

*2025-09-30, version 9.6.4*

I really like it but I wish there was a way to add for the previous day. Sometimes I forget to log it until like midnight and then it is too late. I also wish it would do like a pdf that I could send to my providers instead of having to take multiple screenshots. Other than it’s great.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — So aggravating

*2026-03-09, version 9.7.0*

This app is so aggravating to use with treatment. They make it literally impossible to log meals past midnight accurately, you are unable to take photos if it is past the time through the app and you can’t select it from your history because it will say it’s from the wrong day. It’s made it so much more difficult for me and my provider.

### 1/5 — Completely Non-functional

*2025-07-03, version 9.5.7*

The app throws an error that simply says “Oops” with options for “OK” and “Retry.” Neither option does anything. The app is completely useless. Not only that, I can’t even contact Support because that error message is thrown when I click the support link, too!

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2025-06-09, version 9.5.7*

Not user friendly and very annoying to use, especially when it comes to photos. I am motivated to get my eating disorder under control so I dont have to use this terrible app anymore.

### 1/5 — Far to time consuming. Not user friendly.

*2024-01-10*

Layout of information and user experience is terrible. Design expects that you have endless time to complete entries after each meal. OMG- sorry- I have a life that doesn’t involve answering 50 questions after each time I eat. At the most, if that is required- those questions should be set to once a day. This app is TRIGGERING. There is so much I hate about it. Also if you need to edit logs. The effort that goes into that… stupid. Let alone when you have to go back and review what you have consumed with your clinician- it’s painful. I’d rather shoot myself- but here we are with doctors orders…. For the love of god please start thinking about practical use for the people who are meant to use this not your fantasies that clearly include people with no other obligations or desires in their life but to complete each log…. With- again - brings our focus back to food- which we clearly ALL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH. Also- the bugs… eg- take photo of meal. Upload photo. It uploads with a timestamp! Yay! Go back a bit later and those time stamps have vanished and all your meals are in a screwy order. Speaking of screwy orders to make it ridiculous to review your meals- things don’t stay in order. Again. App is triggering. This is meant to be fore mental health. You’re failing.
Oh and edit to add- why would anyone care about the medals or awards? I’m not 5. I don’t need participation awards. There should be a SHUT DOWN for that ENTIRE EXTRA RIDICULOUS SECTION THAT IS NOTHING MORE THEN ANNOYING. You need to focus on being task oriented and then getting out of our face. Not more pop ups.

### 1/5 — App and website no longer working

*2022-05-14, version 9.2.3*

App has been saying it’s offline for a couple of days now, and when I attempted to contact RR support, I found their website no longer connects.

Not sure what’s going on

### 1/5 — Language

*2020-03-13*

My app is in German and I can’t change it for English!

### 2/5 — New Social Media Content

*2025-11-07, version 9.6.6*

I think the new “Social Media” content is a brilliant addition. However, why is this new content only available through the “Log Meal” page? I know I don’t want to always have to scroll through the meal log questions just to get to the social media questions. If that’s the case, I’ll rarely if ever use it, which would be a shame. Please also make this new content accessible through the “Check In” menu, and customizable so we can personalize questions. (I realize we can make up our own question, it would just be nice if we were able to have these questions grouped with the proper subject instead of at the bottom.)

### 2/5 — Agh the pop ups

*2025-09-27, version 9.6.4*

Get rid of the pop ups omg. Give us the option to log 1. Food and 2. Feelings in just
2 clicks

### 2/5 — Awful customer service

*2025-06-03, version 9.5.7*

I’ve used this app for several years and been logging consistently every day. After deleting the app and reinstalling it on a new device all my logs for the past year and a half were gone. I’ve reached out to recovery record support FOUR TIMES and only received a response once. It didn’t solve the issue and there was no follow up. I’m really disappointed, being able to look back at what unhealthy eating patterns I’ve struggled with vs what it looks like when I’m healthy was really important to me. I have stopped using the app because of this

### 2/5 — Horrific UI

*2024-12-20, version 9.5.4*

Comprehensive and robust app but the user interface is horrible. If they had a user committee with some input and revamp this app could be that much more powerful and valuable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Road to Recovery

*2026-07-17, version 9.7.2*

This app is a great companion for anyone trying to recover from an eating disorder or anyone who struggles with food issues and needs to track what they’re eating for other reasons

### 5/5 — App has a bug

*2026-07-14, version 9.7.2*

Hi although I truly love this app and give it a five star rating it has a bug when you take photo and ask you to Select more. I don’t want to Select anymore. It won’t let you put the timing in Richmond. It never did this before and it just stays there on the front page it doesn’t move. It doesn’t let you adjust anything. Can you please go back?

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2026-06-24, version 9.7.2*

Well thought out and useful so far.

### 5/5 — Consistent and free 🥹♥️

*2026-06-24, version 9.7.2*

Love this app - feels like the only app that is not trying to profit from sufferers experience

### 5/5 — Really good for me

*2026-06-03, version 9.7.2*

Super helpful for people who are struggling with disordered eating, the logs really helped with my regularity and the questionnaires helped me track my progress. And my therapist and nutritionist can both participate and see my logs and results. The only weird thing is there are like random zoo things and puzzles that I straight up don’t understand but they are completely irrelevant to my positive review.

### 5/5 — Having fun making healthy habits!

*2026-05-23, version 9.7.0*

It actually helps to achieve habits while making it fun.

### 5/5 — The best recovery app

*2026-04-27, version 9.7.0*

This is the most thorough, user-friendly, eating disorder app out there, I love it.

### 5/5 — RR

*2026-04-05, version 9.7.0*

Very helpful and a great source of communication. God bless the owners of this company to help patients through their struggles.

### 5/5 — Accountability

*2026-04-03, version 9.7.0*

I find recording makes me more accountable. I also like the feelings section

### 5/5 — Super helpful

*2026-03-30, version 9.7.0*

Great app for individuals working on a healthy relationship with food. Having an app right on the phone with helpful questions, supports and a way to be accountable is a wonderful support and resource.
