Kinda seems like jus another rando synthesizer. ### 5/5 — Unique. Great sound *2022-10-23, version 1.0.1* Unique and intuitive synth. Sounds vary from warm to wild. Using it as AUv3, app plays very well with others. Fun to explore. Would like to save user presets; and a little more polyphony, 3-4 voices total. 10/22/22 Edit: new update has added 2 more voices (for a total of 4). You can now play chords. Also some new GUI tweaks. A great developer who is open to suggestions. Another recommended product from Red Rocks. ### 4/5 — Nice Rare Synth Sounds Super Good! *2022-10-10, version 1.0.0* Its really nice to find "new" rare and exotic ios early synths from other countries instead of the usual US or Japan synth makers. This little beast is a gem nice robust and unique sounding. For the price point run don't walk and grab it!!! Its a ton of fun. I took a star off for lack of ability to save and sync user made presets and lack of polyphany. ### 5/5 — Simple, and sounds great *2022-10-10, version 1.0.0* RRS Ivoks, it has great presets and the filter sounds nasty. ### 5/5 — Soviet style *2022-10-10, version 1.0.0* This is an excellent sounding synth, one of the best on iOS for bass especially. It’s got that unique “Soviet” character to it (not to mention a great filter) that makes it stand apart from the crowd. 4-voice polyphony is also on the way soon in an update according to the dev (as of now it is duophonic/mono/mono unison). ### 5/5 — Little Gem. *2022-10-10, version 1.0.0* Great little synth with a gritty industrial vintage sound. That’s all this thing does to every preset. ### 1/5 — Presets and standalone problems *2025-07-09* Can only save your own presets in the host you are using. Presets in one host are not available in others. So, if you make a preset and save it in AUM, it is not available in Logic Pro... you would have to recreate the preset in Logic! That and the fact that this does not have a proper stand-alone means I find it extremely limited. The synth itself is wonderful. More then likely would have bought it had there been a keyboard on the standalone even if you have to bring it up. Things that seem missing: I couldn’t find help. I made a cool new patch, I can’t figure out how to save patches. Help, I would really like to save my patch. Update: I am not using this with a daw. I want to use it standalone. Brings great sounds I don’t otherwise have. Plug a sequencer into it in AUM and it just sounds great and different than my other synths. I’ll get more stuff from this creator as I can… very impressed and pleased. ### 5/5 — Simple, fast, and sounds great *2026-06-02, version 2.0.1* What more could you ask for? I’ve been using the demo for a while, but I had to buy it because it’s so good. I have several other synth apps that I use for bass and pad sounds, but there’s something special about the sound of Ivoks. Pair that with a simple interface that makes playing fun and quick/easy to dial in, and it’s well worth the cost. Thank you for a great app! ### 5/5 — Presets and standalone problems *2025-12-15, version 2.0.0* I can now recommend this app. They have implemented global preset management, which means you can create a preset, save it in the Ivoks app, and retrieve the preset in any other host apps. Yes! I really would love to use this in stand-alone mode, but it still just runs as a useless “demo”. I’m giving it 5 stars, however, for the preset fix and for the sound quality. ### 5/5 — CC mapping was useful *2025-07-31, version 1.0.2* I’m loving this great synth even more with midi plugins to add things like filter keytrack and pitch envelope. This synth is great. Like… really good! It’s my go-to for bassline, acid, etc. Not to mention the scalable GUI. Chef’s kiss! 👌 ### 5/5 — Optional Duophonic, PLEASE *2025-02-04, version 1.0.2* I love this company, this synth, this digital version. I would greatly welcome the return of the duophonic mode. I may be in the minority but it is much more raw and cool than four voice poly. The way the envelopes work in a Duo synth. I haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing the real thing so in this sense my praise does not reflect such judgment - all I can say is I absolutely love the sound. What I can also say is that I have heard a great many synths and this one has something extraordinary special - it captures something unique in that it somehow creates a ‘living machine’ imagine such a thing - a totally inorganic entity with something to say.
