## What is RscMe?

When your heart rate becomes dangerous, RscMe automatically texts your family — with your name, heart rate, and GPS location. No buttons to press. Fully automatic.

Over 20,000 emergency alerts delivered since 2019. 5+ years on the App Store.

--

Apple Watch monitors you. RscMe alerts your family.

Apple Watch's built-in alerts notify only you. RscMe sends a real SMS — to up to 5 emergency contacts you choose — with your name, current heart rate, and a GPS link. No Medical ID. No 911 call. Just a text to the right people, at the right moment.

--

Key Features

	•	Continuous Heart Rate Monitoring
Open RscMe on your Apple Watch and tap Start. From that moment, Apple Watch monitors your heart rate continuously — even while your screen is off. When something looks wrong, RscMe triggers automatically.

	•	Emergency SMS to Your Family
Real text messages with your name, heart rate, and GPS location — sent to any phone, no app needed. Up to 5 emergency contacts. Each alert uses 1 credit per contact.

	•	Fully Automatic — No Buttons
Works even if you can't react. No apps to open, no buttons to press. Wear your Apple Watch as you normally would.

	•	Private by Design
Your health data is never stored. Everything stays on your device and is used only for alerts.

--

Who is RscMe for?

	•	For Your Parents — Set it up in 10 minutes. They wear Apple Watch as usual — no new habits. If their heart rate becomes dangerous, you get a text with their location. Even if they can't call for help.

	•	For Heart Conditions — Set your personal thresholds. RscMe monitors continuously and alerts the people who matter, with a 30-minute cooldown to prevent repeat messages during the same episode.

	•	For People Often Alone — Working out, hiking, or living solo. RscMe keeps your contacts informed even when you can't reach your phone.

--

Simple pricing, no subscription.

SMS alerts require Alert Credits, purchased inside the app: $3.99 for 20 credits, or $6.99 for 50 credits. Credits never expire. Each alert uses 1 credit per contact. You only pay when an alert fires.

--

Available in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and Czech.

### 3/5 — Watch monitoring

*2026-08-20*

I like what it does but why doesn’t the app just run in the background. When I look at my watch now it doesn’t show the clock but shows the monitoring of heart rate. Can that be changed?

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! RscMe continues monitoring in the background, so you don’t need to keep its screen visible. After starting monitoring, press the Digital Crown once to return to your normal watch face.
To make this automatic, open Settings on your Apple Watch and go to General → Return to Clock → RscMe. Choose Custom → Always and turn off Return to App under When in Session. This only changes what your watch displays and RscMe monitoring will continue.
We appreciate your feedback and will make this clearer in the app.

### 1/5 — Inactive constantly

*2026-07-04, version 4.0.7*

What’s the point if it switches off all day long

### 2/5 — Not reliable

*2026-06-28*

As someone with a heart condition who lives alone, I really wanted the functionality of this app to work. It CONSTANTLY unsyncs from the watch and you have to MANUALLY resync it. I fear I wasted my time with it. I wish Apple would come out with one of their own.

**Developer response:** Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing this, and I'm sorry the experience felt unreliable.

One important thing: your Watch was monitoring and you were protected the whole time. The bug was only in the notification as the iPhone lost contact with the Watch temporarily and incorrectly reported monitoring as stopped, even though it never actually paused.

Version 4.0.5 is now available on the App Store. It keeps Watch and iPhone in sync every 90 seconds in the background, so these false alerts won't happen again.

### 3/5 — A bit bare bones…

*2026-06-10*

Downloaded this in hopes of having some way of alerting my loved ones if my heart gradually stops beating when I’m alone. The idea is great, and the monitoring appears to work—but I’m uncertain as to the efficacy. I purchased credits to allow message alert sending, but there’s no way to know what that will look like on my loved one’s end because you can’t prompt a test notification—and you can’t set the detection level sensitive enough to get one to trigger (say, setting it to below 80BPM temporarily just to flag one.)

Hoping the app can and will do what it promises, a bit disappointed in the lack of phone-side app features though.

**Developer response:** Hi B.G.,

thank you for your feedback and for supporting RscMe.

We understand your concern about verifying that alerts will reach your emergency contacts. The current version includes improvements to monitoring reliability, and we’re also evaluating additional testing and verification features for future releases.

Our goal is to keep the app simple while ensuring that emergency alerts work when needed.

Thank you for your suggestions and for helping us improve RscMe.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t send alerts

*2026-04-16*

I have a pacemaker and defibrillator which stays 50 at bottom and 100 at top. This would have been great but my emergency contacts don’t get notified but maybe 1 out of every 50 occurrences.

**Developer response:** Hi,
thank you for your feedback — and I’m sorry for your experience.

What you’re describing can happen due to recent changes in how iOS handles background access to health data. In some cases, alerts may not trigger reliably unless the app is actively opened.

We’re fully aware of this limitation and are currently working on a new version of the app that uses a different technical approach to improve automatic alert reliability.

### 1/5 — Does not update reading

*2026-02-06*

I have had my phone unlocked and the app at the ready for over a week, and in that time the app has updated my HR reading twice total. There is no way it would ever alert someone in time if there was a problem. Wish I hadn’t bought the credits already. Good concept, very flawed execution.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for sharing your experience — and sorry this was frustrating.

On iOS, apps have very strict limits on background heart-rate updates, even if the phone is unlocked. This can sometimes result in delayed or infrequent readings, which unfortunately affects alert timing. This is an iOS limitation we don’t fully control, not something the app intentionally does.

Thank you for trying RscMe and for your honest feedback.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-06-30*

Can’t get past the screen to add emergency contact. Have to pay per notification. Just needed an app to alert me my HR was too high. Not gong to pay per alert, but the app doesn’t work anyway.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for the feedback — and sorry you had trouble setting things up. You should definitely be able to add an emergency contact and test the app before needing to pay.

Just to clarify: RscMe uses SMS to send alerts, which is why we use a credit-based system. We don’t collect subscriptions or track your data — each alert costs a small fee to keep it simple and transparent.

If you’re stuck on the contact screen or something’s not working, please reach out to us at info@rscme.com — we’re happy to help get it working for you.

Thanks again for trying RscMe.

### 2/5 — Didn’t send alert

*2025-05-28*

My watch says my heart rate went to 46. It’s supposed to alert my emergency contacts if it gets above 170 or below 50 and they didn’t receive a message.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for your feedback and for using RscMe. Sorry the alert didn’t go out — that shouldn’t happen.

Could you please email us a screenshot of the app to info@rscme.com? We’d love to check what went wrong and help you fix it.

Thanks again for letting us know!

Jan, RscMe

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-04-11*

I bought additional credits. I have IST and wanted to alert my boyfriend if my heart rate got too low. I get the notification that the message has been sent but no credits have been used. It’s great on theory just doesn’t work

**Developer response:** Hi! Sorry to hear the app didn’t work as expected. If the message says it was sent but no credits were used, it might not have actually gone through.

Could you please email us at info@rscme.com with a screenshot from the app? We’ll help you figure it out and make sure everything works properly.

Thanks a lot for trying RscMe!
Jan

### 2/5 — Unreliable

*2025-02-01*

It sends alerts….WAY after the fact. I purchased the alerts in hopes it would give comfort with stuff I have going on. Both alerts were sent HOURS after a low and high heart rate.
