### 4/5 — 420th!!

*2026-07-04, version 7.9.3*

I am still waiting on the app to finish downloading

### 3/5 — Errors

*2026-06-21, version 7.9.3*

When I try to login on WiFi or cellular OR try to buy a ticket on cellular, I get an SDK_200 error

### 3/5 — Missing Widget

*2026-02-26, version 7.9.3*

Typical. This app does what it is there for, but it is seriously missing the widget to access your mobile ticket or MyRide Barcode from the Today view. Also shortcuts are missing for 1 click access to your current leg data. I use Apple Maps as a substitute.

### 2/5 — FAULTY

*2026-02-03, version 7.9.2*

Every now and then the ticket booth is down (cant purchase tickets, with cards or apple pay) need to update app more often

### 4/5 — Never paid so much to go so slow

*2025-10-06, version 7.9.0*

I love to take public transit when I travel, and 9/10 times it's a great experience but paying $10 one way from the airport left such a bad taste in my mouth I couldn't even enjoy taking the A train. Buses were great and the app worked well tho

### 1/5 — not intuitive

*2025-08-04, version 7.8.26*

there should be a way to determine whether my pass is active or not instead of only being able to see this when I scan on the train. why do I have a code to scan if it’s not active?

### 3/5 — Needs to support apple watch for qr code

*2025-07-15, version 7.8.26*

Needs to support apple watch for qr code or iphone wallet access for monthly passes.

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother

*2025-06-29, version 7.8.26*

This app was designed and approved by idiots. Just shows how inept and incompetent RTD actually is.
For an institution whose job is to move people, this application is a joke.

### 1/5 — Garbage third world

*2025-06-02, version 7.8.26*

Apple Pay no longer works period. You can’t add a single credit card - only if you select split payment with 2 cards. And you can’t delete one to revert to a single card. RTD is a clown show in general; the half wit chief technology officer here should be fired.

### 1/5 — Completely useless

*2025-05-19, version 7.8.26*

First off, Tickets shouldn’t expire, that’s a stupid rule.

Two, it’s buggy and lags and takes MORE time to go through than just paying cash for a ride.

Three, it doesn’t even show you when/where the bus is coming. I have to have a completely different app for that.

Not sure why we’re being charged so much for tickets to expire on an app that doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Maze

*2025-05-06, version 7.8.26*

Bugs - difficult to just access my ride barcode. Repeated attempts to open App Store and reload app. Close, reopen RTD, back button etc. The low rating is accurate.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-03-06, version 7.8.26*

The developers clearly were on their first job ever, and they have failed to notice that there are many videos on YouTube that will help you learn how to program. Having said that they won’t allow you to use the credit card except to add money to an account that they’re obviously hoping you will forget about and leave your money on there. This is a scam. do not use this

### 1/5 — Useless…

*2025-02-27, version 7.8.26*

This app is only designed for people paying for fares every day…
What about physical monthly bus passes? And there’s no schedule information built into the app; it just sends you to Safari…
What’s the point??

### 1/5 — Horrible!!!

*2025-02-12, version 7.8.26*

What an abysmal application! The people who thought google maps was a good idea should be fired!!!
Very user unfriendly and unintuitive. For an institution whose job is to move people, this application does not help.

### 1/5 — Can’t but pass

*2025-02-05, version 7.8.26*

Can’t buy a pass. Going to website to plan trip, clicking buy pass just takes me to the app which then opens the App Store. Impossible to use.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just look elsewhere

*2026-07-14*

The app itself is meh at best. The app is essentially just full of links that send you to their webpage. The only real feature the app does it let you purchase tickets online, which isn’t that useful when you consider most RTD methods of transportation are highly unreliable. It kinda makes no sense to buy tickets for transportation that’s always out of schedule or out of service. It’s more expensive but please just stick with using Lyft or Uber. RTD is never going to fix any of its messes

### 1/5 — Impossible to update/change passwords

*2026-05-13, version 7.9.3*

I downloaded the app, because i have an existing account and can’t remember my password, it forced me to leave the app, go to a different site, and then, when i return the app, i get nothing but errors codes. No matter how many times i reset the password or delete the app and start over. It’s been like this since at least February 2024.

### 1/5 — Total App Fail

*2026-05-02, version 7.9.3*

We were ready to buy tickets to the airport from Union Station. Total mess of a buying experience then at the very end it says you need some special RTD Ride-a-card to be able to buy tickets. So we’ll take Lyft instead.

### 1/5 — Only buy one ticket at a time in case your phone breaks.

*2026-01-12, version 7.9.2*

IT DOES NOT SAVE YOUR TICKETS FROM DEVICE TO DEVICE.

### 1/5 — Absolutely AWFUL.

*2026-01-07, version 7.9.2*

Most confusing app I have ever seen.

### 1/5 — Apple Pay No Longer Works

*2026-01-05, version 7.9.2*

Used to work, now it doesn’t. Lame.

### 1/5 — Hasn’t been working for days

*2025-11-21, version 7.9.0*

The app hasn’t been accepting any payment methods for days. While the actual RTD service has been helpful in issuing complementary tickets via email if you call them on the phone, it is incredibly frustrating and frankly ridiculous that a nationally used public transportation app hasn’t been working for three days. Get it together.

### 1/5 — Apple Pay Doesn’t Work

*2025-11-15, version 7.9.0*

Despite this app having an Apple Pay option for single and day ticket purchases, it would not process any of my Apple Pay cards (which worked fine at other retailers), but ended up charging my bank debit card linked to Apple Pay despite not issuing a ticket. How are people supposed to pay for RTD if this app is technical error prone?

### 1/5 — Terrible app/ poorly built

*2025-10-20, version 7.9.0*

Why isn’t everything built into the app.. why am I having to go to your website for simple stuff… 0 star if I could.

### 1/5 — RTD is a bad joke made reality

*2025-10-11*

Delayed more than on time. Further delays to connecting routes, having to wait even longer because what should have been a seamless connection is missed. No updates on delays, no realtime information. They don’t know how to consolidate these applications to make one working app. The actual RTD infrastructure is an antiquated relic and nonsensical for the demand it has and opportunities it’s missing out on. I truly hate RTD and their consistent mismanagement of time and handling of these circumstances with minimal to no communication.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worked perfectly!

*2026-03-18, version 7.9.3*

Easy to pay, easy to use, planned each ride perfectly! Great!

### 5/5 — Smooth and easy to use

*2026-02-22, version 7.9.3*

App works great for purchasing tickets on the fly and presenting information. No issues as of yet, will update review if there are, if any.

### 5/5 — Good app, one minor issue

*2025-09-22*

The app works flawlessly for me, I use a stored card but appreciate the Apple Pay option. My one issue is that if you go to the Utilities section, say to look at potential service alerts, there's no way to get back to the home tab to buy tickets. So I force close the app and go from there. Seems like a 'home' icon would be fairly easy to add.

### 5/5 — Super fast to buy airport day pass

*2025-02-28, version 7.8.26*

Took less than a minute to buy airport day pass using Apple Pay. Got into train under 5m. Ride super smooth. Plenty of room, often one person to a row. Entire ride under 40m.

### 5/5 — Abysmal design and function

*2025-02-02*

1) the location search is third rate, can search reliably on business names. Apple Maps and Lyft can do it, why can’t you? 2) having planned a route in the app, when I clicked to buy a ticket I was taken to the App Store to download the app *that I was already using*.

**Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for your feedback. MyRide is primarily used for ticket purchases, if you were planning a trip in your browser it would have directed you to the app but shouldn't have went back to the App Store. We'll send this to our MyRide team for more investigation.

### 5/5 — Travel Utility

*2024-11-08, version 7.8.24*

Useful for traveling within cities and downtown - DIA - light rails

### 5/5 — Worked flawlessly

*2024-10-27, version 7.8.24*

New to Denver. Downloaded the app, purchased a Day Pass, checked out using Apple Pay, went to the bus stop, activated my pass in the app, scanned my QR code on the bus, and got on. Pretty easy! I planned my route using Google Maps. Just make sure you can find the right bus stops.

### 5/5 — Very convenient

*2024-10-04, version 7.8.24*

Low effort and works perfectly. Skip the kiosk and get the app. No downsides.

### 5/5 — Great, Highly Recommended!

*2024-03-31*

Most American Cities do not built transit systems if their cities have less than a certain population but RTD has impressed me! The system is really reliable and easy to use! But the thing that bugs me the most is 1st, The low ridership and 2nd, The Free MetroRide. The Free MetroRide should be re-opened once again because Covid-19 is over so it would make more sense if opened again. The 3rd problem, is how the H line doesn’t terminate at Aurora Metro Ctr. Station or Peoria. But it doesn’t bother me that much! I would highly recommend using RTD, it’s very cheap after the 2024 price changes and how it’s free to anyone 19 or under until September 2024.
