## What is rTracker?

Fast and easy tracking just the way you want, with features you'll grow into - including reading Apple Health data and workouts.

rTracker is totally free and open source. No ads, no in-app upgrades, just track what you want.

Create your own trackers for physique, mood, mileage, sleep quality, eating, shopping, exercise, job hours, patient progress, questionnaires - whatever you like! Each tracker can include multiple values - numbers, searchable notes, sliders, choice buttons, checkboxes - as well as functions on the values and over time.

Make a sleep tracker with things you care about - like diet, exercise or medication - and see how they correlate with measured sleep data from Apple Health.

Share trackers (data optional) with friends -- compete, compare progress, or use as a distributed questionnaire.

Set reminders for your trackers with specific times and days, trigger after a delay from the last save, or randomly over a time window. Motivate yourself to exercise, remind to take your medication, or build a picture of your mood throughout the day.

Use the new Charts to analyze your data, or turn your iPhone sideways to graph your tracks; edit past datapoints within rTracker and export to CSV files for deeper analysis as a spreadsheet.

Import CSV files with your historical data, configure trackers with CSV files, and get pre-made trackers from https://janerob.com/rTracker/rTracker/iPhone/pages/rTracker-main.html.

Want to track your bank balance, habits, moods or something else that's private? rTracker supports hiding individual values or entire trackers with multiple levels of privacy, and there's no central server so everything stays with you.

Designed for fast data input and total flexibility, rTracker is the one tracker for you.

### 5/5 — track your data your way.

*2024-10-24, version 4.1.0*

Love how this app lets me make the tracker work for me. What I love most is my data isn't tracked by someone else. And who doesn't love opensource software!

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2021-05-14, version 3.3.0*

Seriously, this has a ton of features and gives the user so much control. This developer restores my faith in humanity.

### 5/5 — Best and most flexible tracker

*2020-01-24, version 3.1.0*

This app is the only one out of many I have tried that I can customise and track the things that I care about in the way I want to. Thanks so much for the update!

### 2/5 — Loses data since iPhone upgrade

*2019-10-12, version 3.0.1*

I’ve loved this app and it pains me to leave a bad review. I’ve been using this for several years with lots of data. Unfortunately it’s lost my data twice this week. The only thing I can figure is there is an incompatibility with iPhone 11 pro.

### 5/5 — Awesome Tracker

*2017-04-15, version 3.0.1*

Finally found a tracker I wanted after leaving Android. The app has a learning curve but after its set up the way you want, it's great. And being free is a great bonus. A must have if you want to keep track of anything. A big thank you to the developer!

### 1/5 — Terrible!

*2016-04-01, version 2.0.9*

Just like others say, it's terrible. It's like trying to figure out a cryptic code. The instruction is terrible. I think the developer himself is confused. I wasted some time trying to make this work. DELETED!

### 5/5 — Best tracker app I seen so far

*2016-02-06, version 2.0.8*

I love this app. When I first downloaded it, I thought it was good, but now that I have been using it for a month it's fantastic.

My summary: fast data entry, great reminder system, fully customisable data entry, functions and reminders, flexible graph options, excellent support from the developer, fun to use as it does what I want without the things I don't want. I like the feature to send the trackers themselves to other people without the data. Rtracker blows the other 'customisable' apps out of the water (eg track n share which is a good app but quite limited compared to rtracker see my egs below).

I like having the option to turn the graph function on or off and the cycle through each item by tapping the axis. The function feature is incredibly powerful but quite simple to use once I understood how much I could do with it.

For example, my sleep tracker calculates my sleep hours and I plot that against my goal of 9.5 hrs per night. I also have some more complex summary stats eg I plot cumulative differences from my goal (my goal is a function with a constant 9.5 with graph turned on). I like the summary stats better than plotting individual entries. Eg I have a lot to of choice variables that are symptoms of an illness. I like to count how many symptoms are in the current entry and calc an average score for the current entry (1 day in my case) and then compare those stats over many days and again just plot my chosen summary stats - all in the app without having to export to see the trends. I use the csv export to get the data into excel (quick and easy) and do some more complex plotting and variable comparison in excel but prefer to do most calculations in the app.

I can't see myself outgrowing this app as it is, but really good to see its still being improved. I highly recommend it. Interestingly, this is the first 5 star review I've ever done on an app. Apps can always be improved so I'd give it a 4.5 if I could but can't go as low as 4.

### 4/5 — Great manual tracker

*2015-12-17, version 2.0.7*

Not the prettiest girl at the prom, hence 4 not 5 stars, but a very functional and helpful manual tracker that leverages the computers in our pockets. I found this via the Quantified Self section of CoolTools and am grateful for it.

### 1/5 — Bad. Do not buy.

*2015-07-30, version 2.0.3*

I should have listened to other reviewers. I'm writing now to help others avoid the same mistake.

The concept of this app is good, but the app isn't. It is difficult to use and the instructions are cryptic. I, too, wish I could get my money back.

My suggestion to anyone who is contemplating the purchase of this app is to use a simple spreadsheet program. As for me, I'm going to delete this app and see if it improves in a future version.

### 1/5 — Way too many bugs

*2015-06-25, version 2.0.3*

I was hopeful, but this app is full of bugs. I kinda want money back.
