## What is Ruah?

Ruah — A Conversation, Not a Record.

A conversation is not a permanent record. It is a fleeting moment, like breathing in and breathing out.
Our spoken words fade with each breath we exhale, but the memories of our conversations remain in our hearts.

Ruah sees human conversation not as a digital document to be permanently archived, but as a natural exchange between people. Your conversations belong to you—they are not corporate data assets.

Ruah does not ask for or collect your personal identity in the first place. No phone number, no email address, and no real name are required. Ruah never commercially exploits your conversations and is architected to avoid storing messages on disk.

The freedom to communicate is not a privilege granted by any platform. It is an inherent human freedom. Ruah does not require you to prove who you are or surrender your personal data in exchange for the freedom to communicate.

Key Features

1. Zero Personal Data — Conversations Without Identity
No phone number, email address, real name, or government-issued ID is ever requested. Ruah allows you to connect instantly without an account or registration barrier. You should never have to reveal who you are just to have a conversation.

2. Ephemeral & Memory-Only — Pure RAM Architecture
Ruah operates entirely on volatile device memory (RAM) and avoids writing messages to permanent disk storage. Messages exist only while the live session is active. Once a session ends or the room is closed, all in-memory cryptographic state and message data are instantly discarded.

3. End-to-End Encryption — Standard Cryptographic Security
Conversations are protected using robust P-256 elliptic-curve key exchange and AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption. Only the intended participants hold the keys to decrypt messages. Even the relay server cannot inspect the plaintext content.

4. Data Not Collected — Zero Tracking by Design
Rather than collecting data and promising to protect it, Ruah follows a simpler principle: do not collect it in the first place. Ruah does not gather advertising identifiers, device serials, GPS locations, contact books, or connection logs.

5. Privacy by Architecture — Inherent Freedom
Privacy should not be a paid upgrade or a privilege reserved for select users. Ruah is engineered from the ground up so that identity-free, trackless communication is the default experience.

6. Ephemeral Control — Complete Ephemeral Freedom
Your conversation lasts only as long as you need it. When you leave the room or dismiss the app, the session vanishes permanently. Leaving a room means genuine erasure, not just hiding records from view.

Human Conversations Were Never Meant to Be Automatically Recorded.
A private conversation with a friend.
A confidential discussion between business partners.
A promise to keep someone's secret.

Unless someone deliberately sets up a recording device, natural spoken words do not turn into permanent archives. They disappear into the air, while the meaningful memories stay with the listeners. Ruah brings that organic freedom of human speech into the digital realm.

Why Ruah?
The name Ruah originates from an ancient word representing breath, wind, and spirit.
The wind cannot be caged.
The breath belongs to no single possessor.
When we speak, our voices travel upon the air, and once spoken, they gently fade away.

Just as the wind cannot be imprisoned after it has passed, human communication should never be owned or commodified. Ruah does not harvest your identity, monetize your private moments, or treat your dialogue as corporate inventory.

Therefore, whether it comes to hacking, internal rogue incidents, or external demands from anyone, there is simply no personal information or conversation data to hand over in the first place. That is Ruah.

RUAH
A Conversation, Not a Record.
Words fade. Memories remain.
Freedom to Speak. Freedom to Leave.
