### 5/5 — President

*2026-05-14*

Everyone is extremely polite to callers and professional. I’m very pleased with the service they provide.

### 5/5 — Just awesome

Great service great app

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-09-11*

The Ruby 2.0 app is frustratingly slow, unreliable, and seems stuck in time—literally. There haven’t been any meaningful updates in over a year, and it shows. Messages lag, call logs take forever to load, and push notifications often fail. It feels like a hybrid app that was never optimized for real business use.

If you rely on Ruby for real-time communication with customers, this app will slow you down and hurt your responsiveness. Until they actually fix it—or release a native rebuild—avoid at all costs.

**Developer response:** We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the frustration you have experienced and we take your concerns seriously. To better understand the issues you are facing, and provide support, if you’d be open to connect directly, we’d love to learn more about your specific use case. Please reach out to us at staff@ruby.com or by calling 866-611-7829 with your account details. This will help us troubleshoot directly and ensure that you get the best experience possible.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-02-08*

The service is okay, not great but also not too expensive. The iOS app and the website app though are truly horrific. I’ve seen 14-year old coders build a more coherent and functional platform. Like other commenters have said, I’ve complained for years about the technology but Ruby, for all their endless “happy talk”, doesn’t care and have never addressed the problems plaguing their platform. I’m looking for a new service where I can actually log in to see and manage my messages. I recommend you do as well.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We recognize open lines of communication and reliable process is essential. We take your concerns seriously, if you are open to it, we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the specific issues you are facing so we can address them more effectively. Please reach out to our support team – we’re here to help.

### 1/5 — Unacceptable

*2024-07-14*

Unacceptable sums this service up accurately. From duplicated charges for the same call, to consistent errors. From one business owner to another do yourself a favor and avoid this service.

### 5/5 — Exceptional

*2023-11-04*

Ruby is amazing. They have made my life easy by taking over my incoming calls.
They are professional, consistent and follow the instructions to a Tee. Well worth the money. The app has a few bugs here and there but doesn’t take away from the top tier service they provide.

### 1/5 — “Changes to texting” does not equate to improvements (version 1.2.2)

*2023-09-29*

This app continues to be far worse than version 1.0. Devs, please fix what broke in 1.2.2. When we send an outgoing text, we choose (through a scroll wheel ) our toll free number or our local number. Our toll free number is gone now so it looks like we’re texting from a random local number. Please fix it!

**Developer response:** Thank for taking the time to provide this honest feedback. We would welcome the opportunity to assist you with any specific concerns you have. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness team.

### 2/5 — New CEO ruined this service with version 2.0

*2023-09-11*

My company has used Ruby for over 5 years. There were times when receptionists made errors in call routing, but mostly it was successful. The new app rollout was a disaster and whichever engineering team was in charge of quality assurance should be terminated.
We’ll keep the service for now, but will be looking for a better solution.

### 1/5 — Ruined My Business

*2023-08-27*

Summer is a very slow month for my business, so it’s very important that I convert as many leads as possible during that month. Ruby abruptly switched to a new app on a random Monday morning with no prior notice. I was down for almost a month. My business was rendered without access to its phone number for that time. I’m really struggling to get by at this point, and it’s all the fault of this app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this honest feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you have experienced with the app. Our Customer Happiness team would be delighted to assist you with the app to set you up for success.

### 1/5 — Password reset broken, ruby 1.0 still works

*2023-08-20*

After attempting to move from ruby to ruby 2.0, my password was lost, but trying to reset the password is completely broken. You need two devices, whether it’s two phones or a phone and desktop. If you try to reset from one device, switching to your email app and then back to ruby, it goes back to the login screen and you have to ask for another reset code.

Why does this app even exist if the previous version still works?

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please feel welcome to reach out to Customer Happiness and we would be delighted to assist you with your password reset.
