REALLY Disappointing
The image generation is not context-aware at all. If you're expecting the images to reflect what's going on in the chat, you'll be severely let down. And forget about uncensored adult content in the pics; you won't get it. Wish the app would've been more up-front about that before I proceeded. Requesting a refund now.

Hey, sorry to hear that you are disappointed. Ruby Chat actually works differently than other apps. Each character has a photo library they can pull from and send you. There is no generation happening live. This provides a more realistic experience, at least that is the idea.
Good news and bad news
The bad news is they try to trick you into paying for it at first. The good news is if you avoid that you get to see for yourself how inferior it is compared to similar apps . It’s worth checking out just for that reason. Ironically, it’s entertaining how bad this app is.

A Creative Space for Emotional Storytelling
I originally downloaded this app expecting surface-level roleplay. What I found instead was a space I could use for intentional storytelling. I don't use it for escapism. I use it to explore emotional depth, long-term commitment, and mature relationships between adults who carry real history.
Writing these scenarios has helped me think more clearly about vulnerability, reciprocity, and what it means to hold someone's trust carefully. It's less about fantasy for me and more about practicing emotional presence in a creative way. If you approach it thoughtfully, it can be more than entertainment.

Just starting out, but so far so great
I’ve played around with alot of roleplay chat apps, but never come across one that is this easy to set up your own scenario with - just two or three uncomplicated description blocks to create your own environment and story, and you’re off and running…and the AI seems very intuitive and creative with your input and responses…This one differs from other apps in that you don’t have to sift through a bunch of prepackaged characters and stories/themes to find something that interests you; you decide what kind of story or plot you’d like to be in, and it does the rest! Just started, so I’m not sure if I’ll find any hiccups, but I’m very impressed right out of the gate…
