It would be a far better game if more variation was built into the game. At the moment every team defends in the same way and so you can score against them quite easily - move the ball to one touchline, pass quickly along the line and they will always be caught short. Just commit each defender before you pass and you are over. Equally if you do get stopped in the 22 pass three times and you will be through. Since there are four different ways to defend the AI should use them. Secondly there should variation in how teams attack so you have to adjust how you defend. Lastly, you shouldn’t be able to build a dominant team so quickly. Each league should be a struggle when you reach it and you get promoted if you have the right stadium. Teams should be rated far far higher so that even if you have a team of legendary players you have to work at it. As to how easy the game is, I have just won the world cup with Canada just by passing the ball a lot to retain possession and automatically adding an extra player to the breakdown ### 4/5 — Fun game Longer Replays? harder game difficulties? More competition variety? *2026-08-06, version 1.2.0* Don’t get me wrong. Love these games, been playing them since rugby nations 13, but, 1. incorporate longer replays, as often all the good stuff done is like 10-20 seconds before hand then the replay is just the dude running the final 20m. 2. Can we bring back difficulty levels + varying game length cus the game is way too easy, I a, winning every game by 30-45 points, against teams that should provide a significant challenge. 3. More competing variety you can get players from + actually play in the comp with accurate players. Super rugby, URC etc, Japan league one. 4. Some bugs, like if the opposite team knocks it behind their own try line, it gets sent to the opposite side of the field and I have to do a goal line drop out instead. Or whenever it’s passed halftime or full time, you only get a couple passes before the game makes you drop the ball. Quite annoying. Otherwise, been fun seeing the progression over the years. Keep it up. ### 3/5 — A lot of areas to improve *2026-08-05, version 1.2.0* I like different game modes in this game, but I just think when you play a match the period of time is very short like the matches are over in two or three minutes. The difficulty in this game is so easy and there’s no option to change the difficulty which I hate because I win every match effortlessly. The energy block thing is ridiculous you can only play 3 games until they run out and it takes long for them to refresh. Programmed to get screwed over by AI ref or opposition when you’re winning. Opposition can reach an inhuman level of speed to catch you when you make a break. Injuries are over the top. Stupid energy system where you have to pay, watch ads or wait an insane amount of time to recharge. Players look totally ridiculous. I still maintain that Rugby Nations 18 is the best game these guys have put out. ### 3/5 — Game enjoyable , Ai terrible *2026-07-09, version 1.2.0* The games really fun, but the way the ai is built is just terrible. Your team won’t make tackles and let the opposition run right by, they won’t support your runs and cause turnovers everytime. And even when they are there to support they would rather just stand there and watch the ball get stolen. Game would be great if ai was even a bit better and maybe if it didn’t take nearly as long to level your players. But the bugs are horrible. - At the end of each half both my team and the opponent's suddenly "knock forward" the ball. - At random times during a game my players grubber kicks the ball from the 22 when I am so close to the try line. - Sometimes when I pass, my players do the weakest fricking pass ever towards the floor. - When I have a player that runs in either side of the field with my winger closely running behind them they toss the ball outside the field when I try to pass to the winger. - my players automatically pass when they are close to the try line. How is the glitch where the player runs out of the stadium after scoring a try still happening? this has been happening since the original rugby nation game. SORT YOUR GAME OUT!!!! Games utter rubbish. they just make their AI players over powered and unfair and it’s so blatant. players purposely missing or moving out the way of tackles. explain to me how my 99 rated kicker misses a 22 meter drop goal to lose the game? aimed down the middle, no wind, missed left. so blatantly corrupt you scum. then you have what i call cancer ball. this is when you play the AI and they just spam pass the ball, 15-20 passes in 10 seconds. then they do the most unrealistic off loads or just rule breaking passes off the floor to score. it’s so ridiculous, it’s honestly not surprising when it comes to this company and their horrific game making abilities and decisions then when you complete these trash games, you get a cancerous ad, you can’t go 2 games without get an ad after the game and if you shut down the app, the game doesn’t count. 30+ second ads too. honestly bottom of the barrel company you scum bags are ### 1/5 — All progress deleted *2026-03-30, version 1.1.1* I was casually playing this game then was stuck on a loading screen for a while. But all I want is to be able to play more than 3 matches before waiting hours. The only infinite options are 1 day for £3 or 1 week for £8. I’d pay like £10-£15 1 off payment to have infinite forever and no adds. Or even like £3 a month in a subscription. But currently it’s game ruining and needs sorting. At least just up the number of games to like 10 before it runs out.
