You get bombarded with them from start. It feels way too greedy for what it offers. ### 4/5 — Simple and easy *2024-03-14* This is a very simple, flexible, and easy to use ruler app. No frills, just ruler. I like that you can have just cm or just inches or you can have both. Only thing I’d change is that when they have both it doesn’t line up at zero. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Now the ads are all over the place and are even full screen without an option to restore the purchase and remove them. Tried emailing and never got a reply from the developer. But there’s one big gotcha: on my iPhone 13 mini it over-estimates by about 13%. I’m sure it’s a screen resolution thing, but it would be great if we could calibrate this ourselves. I agree with another reviewer that it would be nice to be able to scroll the crosshairs without them always being under your finger. ### 1/5 — Measurements are inaccurate *2021-10-30* Measurements are inaccurate. The distance between one inch and two inches is bigger than a paper ruler. Also, when I clicked non App support there was a warning to not open the page as it was flagged as place that will try to steal personal information. ### 3/5 — Nearly great. *2021-09-17, version 21.5* Firstly, as a ‘free’ app, it’s still very useful. Thanks for that. I’d be happy to purchase, but two aspects keep me from doing so: - My main issue is ‘inches scaling’ options. Would it be possible to have imperial scaling (8ths and 16ths) on the ruler as an alternative? I live/work in the UK, and although I’m metric for 99% of my work, imperial does have its place/need from time to time. So many tools/parts are a mix of metric and imperial that this is lacking on this app. - Secondary issue is that I’d like the XY position lines to be able to be used ‘offset’ from your finger, so that you can actually see the numbers clearly as you move them around (I hope that makes sense) as currently your finger partially conceals the numbers..annoying if you want to be more accurate. In my opinion, every iPhone and iPad needs this. It does the job for what i need. Simple to use, great interface, fluid, and the developer(s) listen to your feedback and are on the ball. On one update the app did not work on my iPad. I wrote them and within 48 hours a new update was available and fixed the issue. I have contacted other developers on different apps and nothing. This was amazing. The only trouble I find is that if you are measuring something, your finger gets in the way when adjusting the grid. To be able to still see ruler length marks, but turn off digits (numbers), so that you could focus on the shape better.
