### 2/5 — Great BROKEN app

*2020-01-03, version 1.5.7*

I love this app and it theoretically should work well. The settings button for reference objects is broke so you can’t change anything. This would be an automatic 5 star but that won’t happen until it’s fixed.

### 1/5 — Not even worth a dollar

*2019-10-07, version 1.5.6*

This app lets you use a quarter as a reference.
It says you can use other reference object with known amounts with the settings, but the settings button does nothing.

### 1/5 — Not intuitive at all.

*2019-09-01, version 1.5.4*

No directions. Not worth .99. Wasted time with it so far. Nothing measured.

### 1/5 — Really!!!!

*2019-08-08, version 1.5.4*

This app does not work. $.99 waste. I purchased this app to help with a simple square measurement of a table top. The upgrade was a joke. You need to use one of the default references. Who has time for all of that? Simple units of measurement. Is that too much to ask for?🤨🧐

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2019-08-05, version 1.5.4*

I upgraded to pro however, I cannot figure out how to use the camera feature. Directions are not clear (for me). Maybe someone can contact me and clarify? Till then I guess. :(

### 1/5 — Liar

*2019-07-14, version 1.5.4*

The app advertised a $0.99 sale on its pro upgrade, but charged me $4.99. I will have Amex block the transaction.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t have the right measure in iPhone XR at least

*2022-07-01, version 1.5.9*

Very bad it doesn’t have the right measure.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2020-07-30, version 1.5.9*

Ruler is not accurate on iPad mini 5.
Measurements are shorter than actual ruler.

### 1/5 — Not easy to use

*2020-05-24, version 1.5.9*

Very hard to work with and the instructions make no sense to me. Makes this a useless app.

### 1/5 — Need a quarter

*2020-04-12, version 1.5.8*

You need a quarter as a reference object in order to measure something, which is not helpful. Very disappointed that I paid for this.

### 1/5 — Sorry but...

*2020-02-27, version 1.5.8*

I cannot figure out how to use this app. Tape measure is fine until your finger hits the end. How do you go past that? If you lift your finger to move back away from tape to continue at the other end the tape jars.

I have no idea what is meant by a quarter reference how do you do that.

Help

### 1/5 — Ruler Pro is 33% off!

*2020-02-19, version 1.5.8*

I paid for Ruler Pro to avoid the ads cut the Pro version shows something 3 inches long to be 2 inches long. The worst part is that when I tried to contact the developer the link was a dead link. The free version is accurate but the paid version looks like the ruler is stretched.

### 1/5 — Instructions don’t make sense

*2020-02-14, version 1.5.8*

This may be a great app but the instructions to use a quarter to calibrate the ruler don’t make sense.

### 1/5 — Settings button doesn’t work on reference measure

*2019-12-30, version 1.5.7*

When I open the feature to use a picture to measure from a known reference object it won’t let me go into the settings to change the reference from a quarter. I’m stuck with a quarter which isn’t helpful when I have a known measurement for something in the picture that I wish to use. Please fix this or tell me how to get it working

### 1/5 — Graduated Display on IPhone is incorrect

*2019-12-14, version 1.5.7*

What is displayed on my iPhone 6S screen is incorrect. I.e 1 inch on screen is roughly 7/8 in reality ! Impossible to reach developer

### 1/5 — Ruler is worthless!

*2019-11-18, version 1.5.7*

I am running this app on my iPhone 7+

The simple onscreen ruler is off by almost 1/2 inch over 4 inches!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is so good to have

*2021-02-25, version 1.5.9*

I can never find a ruler when I need one, so having this app to estimate the size of jewelry components is truly golden.

### 5/5 — Measure Small, Measure Accurately

*2020-11-02, version 1.5.9*

Relative reference with reference options. This little app is quite accurate and constructively flexible, especially when accuracy is desired for your smaller items. Whether measuring for accurate fit or just comparing the size of “pocket items“, this ruler will do the trick and save your results in contrasting colors to your photos.

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2019-11-12, version 1.5.7*

I’ve used this app several times and it has been very useful. Still don’t have the hang of the sliding thing, but it’s great for small measurements.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-10-19, version 1.5.7*

Excellent

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-08-04, version 1.5.4*

5 star

### 5/5 — Measure from existing photos!

*2019-03-15, version 1.5.1*

Only app I’ve found that allows you to measure something in an existing photo, extrapolating based on a known value. Place one set of arrows on something that is known(the 17” rim on your car) and stretch the other from bumper to bumper, to find the length. Or put one arrow on yourself, input your height, and the second arrow can be used to measure other people or objects in the photo.

Very happy with this app!

### 4/5 — Good ... but

*2019-06-06, version 1.5.2*

I use this app with my iPhone, since it is usually with me. It’s great fo rough measures of small parts.it seems to be accurate on my iPhone and my old iPad Air. (And here is the “but”.) But on my 11 inch iPad Pro, the ruler is not accurate

### 3/5 — Settings button doesn’t open

*2019-09-20, version 1.5.5*

Can’t use measuring tool, the reason I purchased this.

### 2/5 — Super lame

*2020-04-18, version 1.5.9*

Don’t waste your money, even two dollars it’s too much.

### 2/5 — Scammy

*2020-03-25, version 1.5.8*

Was fooled by the “free” version. Just be honest next time.
