Very handy! Now it only shows centimeters on both sides. If I still want inches I must pay a regular fee. Uh—no. I need no special features; just a simple ruler. Not frequently, just from time to time when I needed a simple ruler at hand for like 5 seconds. It had been handy, simple interface, no hassle, comes in both inches and centimeters, very useful. Now with the updates, it takes away the centimeter side, and tells me I have to pay 2 dollars a week just to unlock the centimeters??!? I don’t need any of the other fancy functions they claimed. iOS already comes with most of them! I only needed to see the inches and centimeters, and I’d even be willing to pay a small one-time purchase for that just for the convenience of having it with my phone. But what kind of greedy jerk thinks of the idea of charging a WEEKLY subscription for a RULER? Access to centimeters requires an additional paid upgrade. The owner is clearly very greedy. He trademarked the name “Ruler” not sure how that’s even legal it’s a normal word. The app is GLITCHY, NO INCHES ALLOWED, PRICEY. Unfortunately the reference object concept is completely unusable. If I want to get a measurement it has to be something small enough that you can drag lines around to mark a reference object. Really? Am I supposed to tape a quarter to the side of my garage and then try to zoom in enough to put the reference lines on the quarter? I believe they are simply counting on the fact that you can't get a refund and even if you could wouldn't go through the hassle for $1.99. Once familiar with this one, I found it to be excellent and tested it to make sure. Took a photo of a ruler, set my reference point on the one inch mark, and it was spot on when I measured the inch mark on another place on the ruler. Even measured a bracket with an edge that was at an angle (in the picture). Even though it was off by .020", I was impressed.
