## What is Сrumbio?

Reading a food label shouldn't require a chemistry degree. Crumbio turns the back of any package into a clear answer in about five seconds.

Point your camera at an ingredient list. Crumbio reads it, checks every ingredient against public food-safety references, and gives you one honest verdict: OK, Caution, or Avoid — tailored to the profile you choose.

WHY PARENTS USE CRUMBIO
- One scan, one clear answer. No 1-to-100 scores, no nutrition jargon.
- Personalized to a profile. The same yogurt can be fine for an adult and worth a second look for a 4-year-old. Set age, allergies and dietary preferences once.

WHAT CRUMBIO FLAGS
- Hidden sugars — glucose syrup, dextrose, maltodextrin, juice concentrate and ~50 other aliases, summed up, not just the word "sugar".
- Debated additives — colorings linked to hyperactivity in children, preservatives under EFSA review, anything discussed by WHO. Every flag links to its source.
- Allergens & traces — the 14 EU allergens plus rare ones you add yourself (sesame, soy, nightshades). A separate list per profile.
- Age-based limits — caffeine, sweeteners and sodium thresholds that matter most for young children.

Flags reference public assessments from WHO, EFSA, FDA GRAS, EU Regulation 1169/2011 and JECFA — not blogs. We always show the recognized text so you can spot an OCR typo before you trust a verdict.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-08-25

Signing in now comes first, not after your first scan.

Crumbio asks you to sign in up front — with Apple, Google or email. In return your profiles and saved scans belong to your account: they survive a reinstall and open on another device. The "sign in to save this" sheet after a verdict is gone.

Fixed: signing in with Apple while hiding your email made the app treat you as a guest — it hid the sign-out button and never deleted the account server-side.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-11

Two fixes on the scan flow:

1. "What should we read?" — moving and resizing the read frame. It used to
   stutter and feel heavy; it should now follow your finger smoothly. Try
   dragging the whole frame, then each corner and each side.

2. Confirming a read region used to end on "Scan not available", and only
   showed the verdict after restarting the app and reopening the scan from
   History. Scan a label, pick the area, tap OK — the result should open
   with the verdict straight away.

The ingredient list is now shown in the app language. A label in Russian, Kazakh, Turkish or Arabic reads in yours — we translate the list. The original wording stays available under "Edit & recheck". Switching the app language re-translates the scans you already have.

New way to scan: shoot → frame what to read → get the verdict. Drag and resize the frame with a finger, down to one line of ingredients. The camera keeps the whole frame, so more small print reaches the analysis.

More accurate: Kazakh and multilingual packs, fixed missed allergens (tree nuts, wheat on Russian labels); sulphites E220-E228 no longer stay silent.

Also: hidden sugar split across several names, added-sugar warning for children under 2, you can fix the ingredient list by hand.
