Each player also has the option to use an additional Joker when they need an extra chance. GENERAL RUMMY RULES The game starts with 106 tiles. Each player receives 14 tiles, except for the starting player, who receives 15 tiles. On each turn, players can draw a new tile from the stack and must pass one tile to the next player. RUMMY 45 RULES The goal of the game is to collect as many points as possible by placing valid melds and adding tiles to existing combinations. You can meld when you have at least one valid run on your rack and a minimum of 45 points. Tile values in melds: * tiles from 2 to 9 are worth 5 points each; * tiles from 10 to 13 are worth 10 points each; * tile 1 in a set such as 1-1-1 is worth 25 points; * tile 1 in a run such as 1-2-3 is worth 5 points; * tile 1 in a run such as 12-13-1 is worth 10 points; * the Joker is worth the same as the tile it replaces. After a player has melded, tile 1 becomes worth 25 points, and the Joker becomes worth 50 points. The Joker can be replaced by players if they have the exact tile that the Joker is replacing. When a meld contains more than 5 tiles, the displayed tiles are visually collapsed from the middle. The game ends when a player has only one tile left on their rack after melding. RUMMY PRO RULES The goal of the game is to arrange your tiles into valid combinations as quickly as possible and create the highest-value hand. To win, you must place all your tiles into valid combinations, except for one tile that remains for closing the game. If the closing tile is a Joker, the value of the game increases. POSSIBLE HANDS IN TABLE RUMMY 250-point hand * Normal Hand Different types of valid combinations that do not meet the special hand rules below. Example: 1-2-3-4-5, 8-8-8, 10-10-10, 12-13-1 * Mosaic A complete run from 1 to 1. Example: 1-2-3-...-12-13-1 The first 4 tiles must have different colors, and the following tiles must also differ from one another. 500-point hand * Low Hand All tiles in the combinations have values lower than 8. * High Hand All tiles in the combinations have values from 8 and above. * Two-Color Hand All tiles in the combinations use only 2 colors. 1000-point special hand * Doubles 7 pairs of tiles with the same number and the same color. * Grand Square 8 tiles with the same number. * Single-Color Hand All melded tiles have the same color. BONUSES AND PENALTIES The highest possible hand is worth 1000 points. All hands closed with a free Joker double their value, up to a maximum of 1000 points. Each Joker used inside combinations reduces the value of the hand: * by 50 points for a normal hand; * by 100 points for all other hands.
