In this game you are not restricted to taking only the top card of the discard pile - more than one card can be taken in order to reach a card lower down which you can use in a meld Rummy 500 Game Rules:- - Minimum 2 Players are required to play the rummy card table. - A sequence consists of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, such as heart 5-6-7. An ace can count as low or high but not both at the same time. So diamond of A-2-3-4 and the club of Q-K-A are both valid sequences, but the spade of K-A-2 is not valid. - As for melding complete combinations, players are allowed to meld cards that extend combinations that are already on the table. This is called laying off. The fourth card of the same rank can be added to a group of three, or extra consecutive cards of the same suit can be added to a sequence at either end. 500 Partnership Rummy :- The rules are the same as in regular 500 Rummy, except that partners sit across the table from one another. When any one player rummies, the hand stops. Partners compute a single joint score, based on their positive and negative points. Persian Rummy :- This is another form of 500 Partnership Rummy. This variant adds four Jokers to the deck for a total of 56 cards. Jokers may only be melded in groups of Jokers (they are not wild cards and can not be melded in any other manner). Jokers are worth 20 points when melded, or -20 points each if held in hand at the end of the deal. Any meld of four cards laid down at once count double. For example, four Jokers laid down in one meld at one time score (4 X 20) X 2 = 160 points. However, three Jokers melded together only score 3 X 20 = 60 points. The fourth Joker, if later added, also scores another 20 points, for a total of 80 points for the entire meld. This doubling also applies to other melds. Three 2’s played at once score 15 points, but four 2’s played at once score 40 points. Please fix this problem so at least you win coins, I love the rest of the update ### 1/5 — Fun game, aggravating glitches *2023-06-17* I enjoy this game…it has nice options for play, but there are a few glitches that I find irritating. Sometimes, it doesn’t allow you to pick up the first discard after your opponent’s opening play; you have to wait until your next play to pick it up if it’s still there. And while it highlights the possible plays from the show when it’s your turn, it won’t allow you to pick up, say, the queen and ace of a suit whose king you are holding. ### 3/5 — Basically a good game, but glitchy *2023-03-16, version 0.1* I would rate this game 5 stars, but it has a few glitches that make me want to tear my hair out. The first is that, occasionally, I am unable to draw the first card showing, which was cast off by an opponent. The second is that, again occasionally, the first card in the show may be, for example, the King of Spades, and while I’m holding the Queen of Spades, the Jack is discarded.
