## What is Rumskrot Remote?

Rumskrot Remote turns your iPhone or iPad into a full remote desktop for your Mac — with zero setup on the host side.

Simply enable Screen Sharing in your Mac's System Settings, and Rumskrot Remote connects directly using the built-in VNC service. No agents to install. No configuration beyond flipping a switch.

Rumskrot Remote speaks the same VNC/RFB protocol that macOS Screen Sharing uses natively. Your Mac is already ready — you just need to enable it.

CONNECT SECURELY

SSH TUNNEL
For Macs that are only reachable through SSH, route the VNC connection over an SSH tunnel. The first connect verifies the server's host-key fingerprint; later connections refuse to send credentials if the host's identity ever changes. A per-host Forget button clears a pinned key when you reinstall a server.

AUTO-UNLOCK
Opt in per host to type your macOS password right after connecting, so you land at your desktop instead of the lock screen. Reuses your saved login password by default; the unlock password is stored separately in your device's Keychain.
