## What is Run Tab?

Put the miles in during the week. Cash them in on the weekend.

Run Tab turns your weekly mileage into a weekend balance: the miles you cover bank credits, every drink you log spends one, and the app keeps an honest count of the difference. Hit your weekly goal and you've earned the weekend. Come up short and the miles carry over as a tab you owe.

It isn't a wellness tracker and it isn't a coach. It's an accountability game you play with your friends.

EARN
• Runner or walker — pick one in Settings and it's the only thing that counts for you.
• Running: 1 mile = 1 credit. Walking: 2 miles = 1 credit, so a 20-mile week banks what a runner's 10 does. No shortcuts either way.
• Miles import automatically from Apple Health — recorded workouts, or your everyday walking if you'd rather count that. Runners can connect Strava instead.
• Set a weekly mileage goal. Clear it and the weekend unlocks; miles past it keep banking.

TRACK
• Start a night and log in one tap — beer, light beer, seltzer, wine, cocktail or shot.
• Log straight from the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island without unlocking your phone.
• Works with no signal. Anything logged offline syncs the moment you reconnect.
• Nothing is permanent: every log has Undo, and any entry can be edited or deleted.

SETTLE
• Go past your balance and the overage becomes miles owed, in your own miles.
• Owed miles carry into next week, and your next miles pay them off first.
• Weeks reset Monday at 4 AM your local time, so a late Sunday night still belongs to the weekend it came from.

CREW
• Start a private crew, invite friends with a link, and see everyone's week on one board.
• Runners and walkers can share a crew — the board ranks on progress toward each person's own goal, so it stays a fair race.
• Group chat with one-tap trash talk and reactions. Report or block anyone, any time.
• Private by default: crews see your miles, credits earned and whether you're up or down. Your drink log stays yours unless you switch sharing on.

ALSO
• A dated week strip and history, so the streak you're building is visible.

Run Tab never blocks a drink and never congratulates you for one. The miles are the only thing it celebrates.

Run Tab is for adults of legal drinking age. Exercise does not offset the effects of alcohol — miles owed are an accountability mechanic, not health guidance. Run Tab is not a medical or health service. Please drink responsibly, and never drive after drinking.

## Frequently asked questions about Run Tab

### What is Run Tab?

Run Tab is a gamified fitness app that converts your weekly mileage into credits you can use to 'pay' for drinks on the weekend. It's designed as a social accountability game to motivate users to meet their fitness goals.

### How does Run Tab calculate credits?

Run Tab awards 1 credit per mile for running and 1 credit per 2 miles for walking. Your miles are automatically imported from Apple Health or can be connected via Strava for runners.

### Can I track my drinks with Run Tab?

Yes, you can log drinks like beer, wine, cocktails, or shots with a single tap. You can even log drinks directly from your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island without unlocking your phone.

### Does Run Tab have ads?

No, Run Tab does not contain advertisements. It is a completely ad-free experience for users.

### Is Run Tab suitable for all ages?

Run Tab is intended for adults of legal drinking age. The app's age rating is 17+, and it emphasizes responsible drinking and safety.

### How does the 'crew' feature work in Run Tab?

You can create private crews and invite friends to see each other's weekly progress on a shared board. The board ranks progress towards individual goals, ensuring a fair competition between runners and walkers.

### What happens if I don't meet my weekly mileage goal in Run Tab?

If you fall short of your weekly mileage goal, the unearned credits become 'miles owed.' These owed miles carry over to the next week and must be paid off with newly earned miles before you can bank more credits.

### How often is Run Tab updated?

The latest version of Run Tab is 1.0.1, and it was last updated on September 4, 2026. Updates typically include bug fixes and performance improvements.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-24

Refreshed the App Store screenshots to show the current Home, crew board and Lock Screen. Nothing changes in the app itself.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-04

Home is rebuilt around your tab. One card now shows what you have left to spend, what your running and walking each earned, and the rate between them - with your weekly goals, your crew and your week in their own cards instead of stacked into one.

Crew boards show walking as well as running. Walkers were reading as zero miles no matter how far they went. Standings are also ranked on a shared measure now, rather than on each person's own goal.

Fixed: in Going Out mode the "drinks logged" count did not keep up as you logged, and the night's recent drinks list stayed empty.

You can now look back at previous weeks from Home.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-30
