## What is Runcaster Coach?

Runcaster is your interactive running coach — it reads your Garmin or Apple Watch runs and turns them into a personalized training plan that adapts week to week. Talk to your coach after every run, set your goals, and get a plan built around how you actually train. No watch? Build your training or walking plan right in chat and connect a watch anytime.

WHAT YOU GET

• An AI coach that knows your runs. Connect Garmin Connect™ or Apple Health and the coach reads your recent activity — pace, heart rate, cadence, elevation, and route — to understand your level and build from it. It remembers your goals, races, injuries, and constraints across conversations.

• Personalized training plans. Get a day-by-day plan with structured workouts — warmup, intervals, cooldown — and pace or heart-rate targets. Your race date, goal pace, and weekly volume stay pinned at the top.

• Workouts on your wrist. Send structured workouts straight to your Garmin device, or have the coming week's workouts appear in the Workout app on your Apple Watch, so the targets are there when you run.

• Post-run analysis. After each run the coach checks in, breaks down your splits and effort, and adjusts the plan to fit your week.

• Music built for running. Original warm-up, tempo, and cadence mixes — continuous beats at 120, 150, and 180 BPM with a music-reactive visualizer. Pick a tempo, press play, and go.

• Briefs that keep you on track. A morning heads-up with the day's workout and the weather at your usual run time, and a Sunday review of how your week went.

• Deeper insights. See your splits, route map, heart-rate and elevation trends, and pace adjusted for conditions like heat and hills — so you can tell a real fitness change from a tough day.

• The details, handled. Shoe mileage across your rotation, weather on every logged run, and a full dark mode.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-02

Apple Watch support is here.

• Connect Apple Health and your runs import with route, splits and heart rate, ready for the coach's post-run breakdown.
• The coming week's planned workouts appear in the Workout app on your watch, with pace and heart-rate targets. Interval sessions show up rep by rep.
• New Devices card in Profile: see your Garmin and Apple Watch at a glance and connect either one.
• Wearing both? Garmin stays primary and the same run is kept once.

Also in this release:
• Smoother sign-in when you return from the confirmation email.
• Faster, more complete post-run breakdowns for watch runs.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-25

Share your runs
Turn any run into a story-sized image, ready for Instagram or anywhere else. Tap Share on a run to get your route (or a privacy-trimmed map), distance, time, pace, elevation, the conditions-adjusted pace, and up to two notes from your coach about how the run went. If you were running to Runamplified, the image shows your tempo too.

A smarter coach
• Ask for a plan while something is sore and you now get a plan built around it, with a gentle first week, instead of rest advice and no plan.
• The coach follows through: if it asked you a question before building your plan, your answer leads straight to the plan.
• Fewer hiccups when a new plan is being written.

In your language
The coach's first message, and its notes when you set up without a watch, now arrive in your phone's language.

Getting started
Runners who don't have a Garmin yet get a clear second option on the first screen that explains what works without a watch and gets you straight into planning.

Runcaster works with Garmin Connect™. Garmin and Garmin Connect are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-17

Runamplified, now with a tempo dial
• Pick any running tempo from 120 to 180 BPM in 5-BPM steps. Music, cover art, and visualizer all follow along.
• The Plan tab suggests a tempo that matches your stride on long runs and quality days, based on your recent cadence.
• 35 new instrumental tracks across every tempo, and mixes now run over an hour without repeating.

Also in this release
• Kilometers or miles: choose in Profile, and the coach speaks your unit everywhere.
• Auto theme: Appearance can now follow your phone's light or dark setting.
• Treadmill runs sync correctly from Garmin, and Garmin connection status and history import are more reliable.
• New installs pick up the latest improvements on first launch.
• Bug fixes and polish throughout.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-04

Support for walking,
Support for plan generation with no watch connection (describe performance to coach)

### 1.0 — 2026-09-01

No release notes.
