### 5/5 — Great Training App

*2024-12-03, version 1.6.1*

If not for the RunDot app, I would have never trained for or run a marathon. RunDot’s training programs are much less stressful on the body while still being extremely productive and successful. I ran a Boston Marathon qualifying time in my first marathon.

### 5/5 — Great Resource!

*2024-12-03*

I have been using RunDot since February 2024. I started using a free trial and was so pleased with the approach and the individualized workouts and data that I continued with a paid subscription. I know more about my running and much more about how to improve. Cannot say too many good things about my experience with RunDot!

### 5/5 — My new running go to!

*2024-12-03*

It took a little getting used to but with great customer support I was able to get the hang of things. The race predictor for my first half marathon was only 60 seconds off. Love not having to worry about a training plan and the low heart rate runs were a game changer. Love RunDot.

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-12-03, version 1.6.1*

Great program and great results!!

### 5/5 — RunDot Works!!

*2024-12-03*

I have been using RunDot for about a year and half, and highly recomend it! I am a much stronger and more confident runner after trainig with RunDot. I recently ran the MDI Marathon with one of my sons and his finace, and I had no trouble running at their speed. I felt very prepared and well trained thanks to RunDot. Follow this program and you will be happy with the results! Happy Running with RunDot!

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2024-12-03*

I have been using RunDot in the last year and it has transformed my running literally. I race a lot - I’m running the 50 states half marathon challenge and this has been the best preparation that has kept me injury free. Despite the high frequency of my races, I really enjoy training - the 80% easy zone two runs is exactly what I needed. Additionally, I can see the improvements in my performance. Highly highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great training program

*2024-12-03, version 1.6.1*

I have seen great gains the last couple of months and more importantly no injuries!

### 4/5 — Best I’ve found for personalized training

*2024-12-03, version 1.6.1*

I used the Tridot a few years ago to get me from a back of the packet to Ironman finisher.

Now that I took a break and want to start running again this is the clear choice.

### 5/5 — Love running again

*2024-06-24, version 1.5.2*

I am a typical middle of the pack runner. I began running relatively late in life (late 40s), having never run before, starting for health reasons, and running now for several years. After completing the Abbott majors, and my first ultra of 42 miles, I hit
a lull in my running journey, not really knowing where to go next or how to train. Off I plodded, with no particular race planned. I wandered aimlessly from run to run with no targets in mind, gradually running for shorter and shorter times, getting slower
and slower through lack of any structure, goals, or targets, and frankly, just not enjoying it. Then I saw the advert for RunDot on Facebook! A training program using predictive analytics? Sign me up - what have I got to lose! So I signed up, and chose
the 6 months for half price option, and set my goal of my second ultramarathon, which would occur pretty much at the end of the trial period, giving me a good handle on how effective the training could be.

I think, as everyone seems to point out, the Z2 heart rate runs were the most challenging to start with. My first attempt was run-walk-run-walk-run-walk for 25 minutes. It just felt wrong and unproductive, but over time, I have reached a point where I can
run the whole time, but it is still slow, and I have to be very careful not to get too carried away up hills, otherwise my Garmin starts pinging me. The Z2 heart rate pace is actually a pace that I've never really run at before, always going faster than this,
whether training or racing. However, it does feel nice to now have this new pace in my armary, feeling comfortable enough to keep it going for hours if I had to. Other trainings involved a slightly faster Z2 running pace, with intervals at Z3 upwards, starting
relatively short, and progressing over the weeks to longer and faster intervals. There were also the longer weekend runs, but these were not as long as I was used to, building up to a single 2hr45m run before the ultra. I was worried this would not be enough
 - Only time would tell. More positively, time trials were set about once a month, and I was amazed at how I progressed in these, managing to reduce the 5K time by approximately 30s as each one passed. I was setting a new personal best at 5K each time I ran
a trial. I knew I'd become faster than I had been before at this short distance, but was still worried about sustaining any pace to go the distance for the upcoming ultra. The day came after an uneventful and painlessly easy taper of short recovery runs.
Could I possibly be ready for it? I was still nervous, but as it turns out, I should have just trusted the process. The whole run felt much easier than the prior year, and I managed to up the distance from 42 miles the first time, to 48 miles this time.
Success, thanks to RunDot! I followed this with a half marathon last weekend, where I ran faster than I had run the same course with a PB of 7 minutes faster than my prior best. I have refound my love for running – not just the races, but I actually look
forward to the challenge of keeping to the training program. My trial period is running out, and without a doubt, I will renew. I may not need the bells and whistles package that I have for the trial, since I tend to run only one major race per year, but
I will be renewing, and looking forward to breaking 50 miles next year! Happy running, and TRUST THE PROCESS!

### 5/5 — Structure and training geared for ME!

*2024-05-22*

As a solid 37-39 minute 5K-er, 66 yo female, plagued with injury, I began RunDot in June 2023 with a 5K time goal of 33 minutes. May 2024 I hit my goal time of 33 minutes!! It took me almost a year because I had respiratory setbacks but NO injuries. The program dialed my training in or back with each illness/recovery which is not what you can expect from any cookie-cutter program out there. I love the structure of the program as I train injury free by doing the right training right!
I wasn’t sure I would like the structure, because let’s get real here, I’m old enough to do what I want, but structure was exactly what I needed! The workouts are geared to YOU based on YOUR workout data.

### 5/5 — Trust the Process

*2024-03-20*

I started training with RunDot in November 2023. I have asthma and contracted Covid 19 twice in 2022. RunDot helps keeps athletes safe, healthy & strong, which are incredibly important for longevity in running. The data optimized training allows for a personalized experience so that athletes can make sustainable progress. Training with RunDot helped me improve my time in the marathon by 29 minutes. As a result, I feel more confident & empowered. Special shout out to Cindy in support-she’s always so responsive, patient & helpful.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-03-19, version 1.4.4*

This training has been a game changer in my speed and endurance!

### 5/5 — Great program to improve running!

*2024-03-19*

I love this training program. I have been using it for about 9 months at this point. My goal is to run 5ks faster while also occasionally doing some 5 milers and 10ks. I have cut nearly 4 minutes off my 5k pace since starting this program. Rather then just running by time or distance, I love the intervals and all the different runs that keep things interesting and keep me improving! I also appreciate that it tailors my program for the different upcoming races so I always know exactly what I need to do and when.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — FaceID (iOS) does not work

*2024-11-14, version 1.6.1*

The app doesn’t seem to know how to use Face ID to remember your password. So that’s kind of an annoying thing to always having to re-enter your password every few days…

### 1/5 — Scam

*2024-07-24, version 1.5.5*

This is a horrible app. It does nothing to improve your training. It just collects data like a virus. Don’t download it.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-05-01, version 1.4.9*

Don’t waste your money. They have runs that are based off of pace, HR and power. However there zones for pace, power and HR have not correlation. I was set to do a power based run where I was to run 9:30 min mile which would never fall into the zone of 213-230 watts. They also send pace to your watch but then they really mean grade adjusted pace. So if we can’t actually do the run as intended are we really doing the plan as it was meant to be? Needs lots of work.

### 1/5 — App seemed promising but failed short at a lot of things

*2024-02-17*

It is not compatible with Fitbit even though it says it is.
It truly needs to say somewhere before signing up that 1. It’s not a study because you have to provide payment information and their ad fails to mention that. 2. It should say you just have a Garmin.
3.it is not intuitive and doesn’t give you a starting point.
You have to go change the time you started your workout and then MAYBE it’ll carry over the data from your heart rate monitor… but 4. It should also mention it is not compatible if you run on a treadmill.

### 1/5 — Simple and customized to YOU!

*2023-11-02, version 1.2.9*

Simple app that supports updated training guides for increasing speed, flexibility and endurance.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2023-08-09, version 1.1.6*

I just downloaded the app so I know I have the latest version, but the app continuously crashes on me or won’t load any pages/screen. I can’t complain because I’m trying the training for free, but I can’t even access the dashboard to see my training.

### 2/5 — User Interface is Terrible

*2025-01-03, version 2.0.1*

I love the concept of the app, but the user interface is so horrible it makes me not want to even try it…please, please hire a UX designer.

Navigating the app is clunky and glitchy, some buttons take you to the online platform or to a screen with totally different navigation options as what you had before.

There also doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust workout duration preferences (so mine are all starting out way too long) or day of week preferences other than long days, so mine are all just clustered together at the beginning of weeks unless I manually spread them out.

Developers — please give this app some UX attention, it’s a shame to hinder such a cool concept.

### 2/5 — Glitch

*2024-06-12, version 1.5.2*

Stopped syncing to Garmin. Tried logging out and back in- disconnecting and reconnecting. For example is I run with my husband (not in training plan) the system stopped importing the information to shift my training plan. I thought that was one of the big purposes of this app?

### 3/5 — App is good however

*2025-04-15, version 2.7.1*

I like the app and I see the potential however with my iPhone 15 pro running the latest iOS I am having some UI bugs of buttons overlapping and it could overall use some cleaning up. Love the app and I will continue using it, hopefully the small menu bugs and lag is fixed!

### 4/5 — Accountability and Progress

*2024-12-06*

Overall a great app. Last year it started pairing with my Apple Watch which makes all the difference! I don’t like having to use two different apps (RunDot and Dot Connect), and both can be a bit glitchy at times. But overall, this program has helped me keep up with my running and provides enough variety in the workouts to keep me from getting bored.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great planning with flexibility

*2025-10-20*

I did my first marathon last year along with another 21 races through the year. I was able to finish my marathon without injury and finish well. I plan to keep using the app for my future training, excellent for no guessing game, it is personalized to my individual effort.

### 5/5 — RunDot is amazing!

*2025-10-17, version 2.23.0*

This program has greatly improved my running without injuries! It is easy to use and quick to see results, trust the process and reap the rewards! Have fun running with RunDot!

### 5/5 — Best training app and best community

*2025-10-11*

Last September, I walked into a place here in Austin and—boom!—there was the legend himself, Meb Keflezighi. I couldn’t miss the chance to say hi to one of my heroes. We chatted, and when I shared my running woes, he asked, “Have you heard of Run Dot? Why not give it a shot?”

So I did. The next day, I signed up for a trial. A few days later, I was in—and I’ve been running with Run Dot ever since.

With Run Dot, I finally got a training plan tailored for me—a 51-year-old guy with diabetes. It adapted to how I was feeling right now, not some generic runner profile. And wow, things started clicking.

Heart rate-based runs? Total game changer. I’m now running faster and longer with way less effort. And the cherry on top? The Run Dot community. These folks are pure gold—welcoming, supportive, full of tips, and they make you feel like you’ve found your tribe.

So here’s the punchline: one year after joining Run Dot, I finally broke my 7-year PR and ran my first sub-2-hour half marathon.

### 5/5 — Finally PR’d thanks to this app

*2025-05-10*

I was stuck in a training rut; trying various written/fixed plans for several training rounds and I still couldn’t break my PR I had set several years ago. I saw an ad on social media for this app and decided to give it a try. Instantly I knew this was something different: setting up the baseline stats and completing my first couple of runs informed me quickly of where I was at and where I could end up if I stuck with the plan. I’m happy to say I’ve been using this app for the last year and a half and I’ve only gotten faster and stronger as a runner. Please give it a try if you feel like you’ve hit a wall in improving your goals!

### 5/5 — My new favorite running tool!

*2025-05-09*

Started with RunDot about 2 years ago. While it took a bit to get used to, the combination of the community and their dedicated customer service RunDot made my training SO MUCH easier. My workouts are set for the week and the unicorn rewards are an extra! Love being an ambassador for year 2!

### 5/5 — Couch to 5k

*2025-05-08, version 2.10.1*

I hadn’t ran in years. Downloaded the app and was completing a 5k within weeks! I’ve never been in better shape!

### 5/5 — Great Tool for Training

*2024-12-06, version 1.6.1*

I have been using this app for about a year and a half. The workouts have prepared me well for races, and the race prediction is accurate!

### 5/5 — Love RunDot!

*2024-12-04, version 1.6.1*

I have been using this app for about two years. I have increased mileage without injury, lowered my 5k and 10k time and love the coaching and the app! It’s like a little buddy on your wrist!

### 5/5 — RunDot works for me

*2024-12-04*

I have been an age group runner for several years. Unfortunately, I developed POTS and have suffered high heart rate issues. Soon after starting RunDot, my heart rate started to lower, even with my pace increasing. I also don’t feel so beat up with the marathon training.

### 5/5 — Best Running App!!! Hands Down.

*2024-12-03, version 1.6.1*

Started with Rundot this past summer in preparation for a fall marathon. I feel stronger and am injury-free. The data analytics that goes into formulating my training plan is cutting edge. This app takes the stress and worry out of putting together a run training plan.
