They really push the in-app purchases. I also don’t enjoy the fact that I can collect all these bonuses like gold and wood and other things but I can’t seem to find where I can use them. They can’t be used for more moves or to add time. I’ve tried it with Apple and Facebook and it ends up freezing on one or both devices and will never sync. However the ads drive me nuts...they go on too long with no way to quickly exit them. I would pay for a no ads version but the developers have not given this as an option....so knocked a star off for that. Second star knocked off as the map is so small and hard to read so that needs improving. It rarely goes wrong, there’s lots of variety with small games to play after the main one. Also ads aren’t intrusive, and quick to dismiss if you’re not interested. There’s also lots of ways to earn gems and other rewards. Some levels are a bit long, but you can pause them and easily come back later to where you left off. I lost this game when my iPad died, and had to start again, but now you’ve ruined it by putting in an annoying pulsating arrow which is distracting and gets in the way. It isn’t helpful, and I don’t want to be told which way to go. I’m 40% in and can’t go any further. Cannot afford to buy gems anymore as the prices are too high and to constantly watch the same ad over and over just to get some more gems (maybe 5 gems if you’re lucky) is annoying. And the same levels recycled over and over is boring. I’ve now deleted game. ### 1/5 — New update erased ALL my wood *2025-08-16, version 1.109* Since the recent update all my wood has disappeared. I now have to open 2 islands with over 7000 wood each to finish level. It’s taking too long to collect wood. Now have a timer that’s short and when I leave the game the timer continues countdown. No pause button when you leave game. Bring back the game before update. Can’t play anymore. Really enjoying this game. I like that if you leave in the middle of the game it keeps your progress and takes you back to where you left off instead of starting the level all over again. The only problem I have is that even though you can make the map a bit bigger, I still can’t see the chests open/closed. Every time you finish a level you are forced into an add and they are repeat over and over. I read a response from the company to another review that was complaining about the adds, stated that any purchase would turn off the adds. I have found that is not true. I have made 2 purchases from the site, but still am getting adds. I’ve got stuck once or twice when it doesn’t recognise a button tap or an item in my inventory, but they always seem to clear overnight. Some sort of reset, maybe? Will there be a fix soon? ### 5/5 — The best game in years! *2023-06-08, version 1.98* This is the most creative and interesting match 3 game I've ever seen! There are some puzzles that aren't match 3 as well. I haven't had any trouble with ads locking things up and I have been watching lots of ads to get more turns because I want to complete every board 100% and not just meet the goals. I don't find it to be a big deal to watch ads to get more turns and helpful bonuses so I don't spend a ton of real money. I haven't spent money yet and I'm progressing nicely. I will buy something eventually because games this good deserve the support so they can keep making content. There are a lot of things in the game to help you progress like jumping and power ups so make sure you try things out and learn how it all works. The one problem I had was getting stuck on a board where I needed to find a hidden area and couldn't find much help online. Go to one corner of a black area and jump to the diagonal opposite corner across the center and then check the map to see if any new areas are showing in the black area. And sometimes you will have to jump to a spot outside of the map boundaries. You have to "float" over the hidden areas to hopefully get a corner of it to show on the map so you can jump there after your jump recharges. Match shields to recharge the jump and match blue potions to recharge the power ups. Watching an ad when a present appears can be very helpful. Sometimes you get resources but other times it recharges a power up and once I even got more turns. Another tip since the boards are very big- you can go to the Options and Quit and it will save your game so you can finish the board later I cannot recommend this game highly enough! ### 5/5 — Level1739 *2023-05-14* Still going strong, don’t get any upgrades etc but it helps pass the time when you need a break, maybe you could introduce some new mini games or something, still a good game thanks **Developer response:** Sorry you had to face the issue.
