The app will not recognize the subscription. I’m out $40 with a useless app on my phone. Very disappointed ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Recognize Subscription *2024-11-29, version 26.0* Despite being a paying customer, the app fails to recognize my subscription and subsequently locks me out of all of the content. I tried quite a few different ways to get it to recognize it, but all attempts failed. The past year of reviews on this topic apparently hasn’t been enough for them to fix it. It literally makes the app unusable, and they don’t appear to be fixing it anytime soon. You’d be better off using your iOS web browser of choice to navigate their content. Runner’s World content is great. Their app is abysmal. 1/5 stars. ### 1/5 — App Does Not Work *2024-07-09, version 25.0* Today is 9 July 2024. I paid for my year subscription to RW+ on 2 July 2024. As of today, my account still says “pending” and I cannot access articles. I’ve also updated my mailing address several times, which is not the same as my billing address, but my account keep defaulting back to my billing address as my mailing address. I have no idea if I’m even going to receive my print subscription. When I try to log in to the RW app, I either get a “login in successful” followed by an immediate prompt to subscribe or I get a “something went wrong” pop-up. I emailed Support and haven’t heard back. This is very frustrating considering I paid for a year and am currently in training so I’d really love to access the material I paid for. It appears this has been an ongoing issue for more than a year according to reviews. It would be nice if Runner’s World would honor their customer agreement and allow us to have access to the products we paid for. If it was the other way around, if the customer acquired a product without paying for it, we’d be committing theft. I don’t know why these companies aren’t held to the same standard as customers. ### 1/5 — Are you kidding? *2024-05-25, version 25.0* This is the biggest scam. I signed up and paid for the premium subscription. I established a password and logged in. Every feature I tried to access was locked and requested a login. I was redirected to a password setting link which did not work. I tried to get help through the service request line but the email will not submit. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2024-05-23, version 25.0* App does not synch my RW account - it continues to ask me to pay (even though I have an active digital account and logged in). I can’t open the magazines even I had paid till tomorrow. This app doesn’t work. I sent emails and I didn’t receive any answer. I’ve emailed 3 times in a week and have gotten zero response. I’ve filed a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. The app doesn’t recognize my login info and reinstalling the app does not solve the problem. ### 1/5 — Wants me to pay again *2023-07-03, version 25.0* Unable to access the locked content. It’s telling me I need to pay again. Logged into my account from a web browser and my RW+ account is good for almost a full year. Emailed MAZ and they only emailed me instructions on how to log in but never addressed the actual issue of blocking paying customers from accessing the content. ### 1/5 — Not allowing View unless I pay again *2023-05-29, version 25.0* I paid for a plus subscription and now have to pay again to use the app. Should be free with a subscription. Also sent messages to Maz several times and no response after weeks. I paid $60 per year for plus and have to pay an additional $5per month to use the app despite the subscription indicating RW plus includes print and digital. ### 2/5 — Help! *2023-04-21, version 25.0* I’m subscribed- and sign in. I can’t access anything except emails and the first page or 2 of online articles. I’ve tried reaching out to customer service - but it requires an account number, which I don’t have because I haven’t received a magazine yet, which is WHY I’m trying to reach customer service. ### 1/5 — I paid my subscription and can’t see the content *2023-03-28* I paid my subscription on January the 18th. Now when I try to read the magazine appears a message saying that I have to buy a new subscription or individual magazines. I will be reading an article, and if my finger isn’t glued to my screen, it will populate to the home page and I have to search the article again. The app operates like a webpage with ads. Sometimes when I click a link it takes me outside of the app to my safari page where I’m not signed in. ### 1/5 — They take your money you get nothing in return *2026-06-29, version 28.0* Money came out of my account alright but that’s the only thing this app is good for. Then, when I got into the app it tried to charge me for items my membership covered, and WERE accessible through the website. The one request I sent to their help-desk resulted in an email directing me to their FAQ's, and the link did not work. Useless app, useless help-desk. ### 1/5 — Subscription not activating. *2025-08-31, version 28.0* I have been a RunnersWorld+ member for two years and have not been able to activate my subscription on the app. When I enter my email and zip code to activate it says subscriber not found.
