## What is Running Route?

A new running route in 10 seconds.

Runnr helps you want to run. Pick a distance, tap generate, and get a unique loop from wherever you are. No planning. Just a new route.

For you if you are tired of the same old loop and want more variety.

How it works:
1. Pick a distance - 3, 5, 10, 15 km, half marathon, marathon, your own or random
2. Tap generate - Runnr builds a loop from your position
3. Run - follow the route live on the map, with voice guidance, Apple Watch or GPX

NEW: SHARE YOUR ROUTES, RUN OTHER PEOPLE'S
Runnr now has a feed of routes made by other runners. Save them and run them from where YOU are - a loop from Odense works fine in Aalborg, because it rotates to your start.

• A feed of real routes from real runners
• Follow who you want, like and comment
• Save routes for later and run them from where you are
• Publish your own, or keep them to yourself
• Everything is checked before it goes public, and can be reported and blocked

NEW: STUDIO
Draw your own route with your finger, or place points on the map. Runnr snaps it to the roads so it can actually be run.

NEW: RUNNART - RUN A FIGURE
Turn a design into a running route. Pick a figure, place it where you want to run, and run the line. Ready-made figures are included, or build your own from a photo.

FEATURES
• Generate new running routes from your position
• Pick 3, 5, 10, 15 km, half marathon, marathon or your own distance
• Green route: favour paths, parks and quieter areas
• Fewer stops: more rhythm, fewer interruptions
• Real loops that start and end in the same place
• Free starting point: drop the pin anywhere on the map
• Follow the route live with map, turn arrows and voice guidance
• The route is "eaten up" as you run it
• Automatic help if you drift off the route
• Live Activity and Dynamic Island while you run
• Favourites, notes and full history
• Share the route as an image
• Export GPX to Garmin, Komoot, Strava and others
• Start a Strava recording with one tap

ZONE 2 RUNNING
Zone 2 is keeping the pace easy enough to hold a conversation. For many that means running slower than you think - and sometimes walking along the way.

• Easy run/walk plans
• A talk test during and after the run
• A recommended pace based on your runs and feedback
• Green, yellow and red pace status along the way
• Voice guidance and haptics

DAILY FORM
Not every day is the same. Answer a few questions about sleep, legs and energy, and get a recommendation that fits your body today.

DAILY CHALLENGE
Get a new challenge on the days you choose. Some days it is distance, others variety, going easy or simply getting out the door.

STREAK AND BADGES
Keep the habit alive with streaks, milestones and badges. Not to push you, but to make it easier to head out again.

APPLE WATCH
Take Runnr on your wrist and run without the phone in your hand.

• Send routes from the phone to the watch
• Follow the route on a navigation map
• See distance left, distance run, time, pace and heart rate
• Use Zone 2 during the run
• Save the run as a workout in Health

RUNNR PREMIUM
• Unlimited routes
• Extra route suggestions per generation
• Free starting point on the map
• Marathon distance
• Zone 2 running
• Daily form
• Daily challenges

The free version includes 10 routes per month, the whole social side, follow mode, GPX export, sharing, favourites and full history.

Premium is a subscription: DKK 29/month or DKK 199/year, both with a 7-day free trial. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and is managed in your App Store settings.

PRIVACY
The running app works with no account at all. No ads. No tracking by Runnr, and we do not sell data.

Your routes, your runs and your numbers from Health stay on your phone. If you choose to publish a route in the feed, that route - and only that route - is stored on our server.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.1.0 — 2026-08-26

Running with just the watch works now.

The voice can be heard
Music is turned down while Runnr speaks, instead of leaving the voice to fight it. The volume now shows on screen during your run, so you can see it and adjust it without hunting for it. If you would rather leave your music alone, you can switch the ducking off in Settings.

A way back when you drift off course
Go off route and an arrow points back to it, with the distance to cover. The message repeats instead of being said once and then never again. All of it works with no connection, which is the whole point: that is exactly where you are when the phone stayed home.

Numbers that keep counting
Distance and pace used to freeze the moment you left the route. They now show how far you have actually run, wherever you run.

Your runs in Apple Health
A run recorded on the watch now saves the route itself, so you can see it on the map in Health instead of just as numbers. The watch asks permission the first time.

Watch runs count towards your flame
Run without your phone and it counts towards your streak as soon as the watch and the phone meet again.

The screen during a run
The map on the watch is gone. It had to fetch its tiles over the network, and that is precisely what you do not have with you when you run without a phone. Instead the next turn is written across the top of the screen, and your numbers fill the rest. It needs no connection and reads in half a second.

English throughout
The app is now in English everywhere. Danish was still showing in a lot of places if you had chosen English.

### 4.0.1 — 2026-08-21

Runnr has its own map now, and more ways to build a route.

**A new map**
We have moved from the system map to our own. The colours are Runnr's, your route
stands out in the colour you picked, and while you run the line fades ahead of
you so you can see the direction without looking for an arrow.

**Say what you want to run**
"10 km past the harbour." "About an hour in the woods." "5 km without traffic
lights." Runnr turns it into a route. It now knows your town, so a place like
"the harbour" resolves to the right one - and you can say where you start: "I'm
at the station, 8 km past the zoo."

**Choose your surface**
Prefer trails and gravel over asphalt? Set it in Settings and routes will weight
for it. You can ask for the opposite too.

**Points that close the loop**
Drop the places you want to pass. Tap the first point when you want to head home,
and the route closes there.

**Tap the route**
Surface, elevation and sharing are now one tap away on the line itself. Surface
data also travels with a route you pull in from the feed, so you know what you
are in for before running someone else's.

**Tidied up**
New buttons, calmer colours, and a contents menu in Settings so you can jump
straight to what you are looking for.

### 4.0.0 — 2026-08-14

Runnr 4.0 - running is something you share now.

NEW: RUNNR SOCIAL
A feed of real routes from real runners. Follow the ones worth following, save
routes for later, and run them from wherever you are. Like and comment.
Anything you make, you can publish with one tap - or keep to yourself.

NEW: STUDIO
Draw your own route with your finger, or place points on the map. Runnr snaps
it to the roads so it can actually be run. Your drawing, your streets, your
route.

NEW: RUNNART
Turn a picture into a running route. Pick a design, place it where you want to
run, and run the line. We have added a batch of ready-made figures too.

NEW: THE BELL
Likes, comments and new followers in one place. No more opening your own posts
to count.

A FOR YOU THAT IS ACTUALLY YOURS
The feed learns what you like and shows you something new every time you open
it. What you have already liked moves to the bottom - you have seen it.

SAFE TO BE IN
Everything posted is checked automatically before it goes public. Anything can
be reported, anyone can be blocked, and we review reports within 24 hours. You
can delete your content and your account right in the app.

ALSO IN THIS VERSION
- The feed now loads properly the first time you open the app
- Tapping a route in Explore opens it with likes, comments and "Run this"
- If your monthly routes are used up, the app now says why - and what you can do
- Updated terms and privacy policy, rewritten from scratch

The running app still works with no account at all. Routes, Zone 2, the watch
and Health work exactly as before.

Requests or bugs? support@runnr.dk - we read everything.

### 3.3.8 — 2026-08-01

In version 3.3.8:

- Figure runs now count as one generation, just like regular routes
- The 10 free routes are per month, and the app now says so clearly
- The AR sight is on pause while we finish it. It will be back

Got a figure you would like to see? Write to support@runnr.dk. We read
everything. You can also follow along on TikTok and Instagram.

### 3.3.7 — 2026-07-23

What's new in Runnr 3.3.7

Figure runs (beta)
Pick a figure, place it over an open area, and trace it with your GPS trail as you run. Each figure shows how hard it is to trace - from 1 to 3 runners. Free during beta, because we'd really love to hear what you think.

Your own route color
Choose your personal color in Settings. It carries through everywhere: on the map, in your history, and in everything you share.

Live replay after your run
Watch your route draw itself again the moment you finish - full screen too.

Also
Thinner, more precise route lines, so figures and routes look sharper. Plus lots of small improvements.

Happy running! Write to us at support@runnr.dk
