## What is Runnr?

A new running route in just 10 seconds.
Runnr is the running app that makes you want to get outside. Choose your distance and get a unique loop route starting right where you are. Follow turn-by-turn voice navigation, share your run afterwards, and connect with other runners in your city.
Made for anyone tired of running the same route who wants more variety. Run solo, with a club, or with your family.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose your distance – from 3 km to a marathon, or set your own.
2. Tap Generate – Runnr creates a loop route from your current location.
3. Start running – follow the route on the map with voice guidance, use your Apple Watch, or export it to your other devices.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.3.0 — 2026-10-30

We've got a new colleague at Runnr.

Our new training assistant has arrived, and it already has plenty of ideas on how to help you get more out of your runs.

Tell it what you want to achieve, get a personalized training plan, or ask it to create a route with intervals and strides. You'll get feedback on your runs, tips on how to improve, a little praise when you've earned it, and a push in the right direction on the days you need it.

It still can't do the running for you. We asked.

**What's new:**

- Training Assistant: Tell it your goal, and it'll build a plan and adjust it when life gets in the way. Free to try, with more messages included in Premium.
- Intervals and audio coaching: Runnr guides you through warm-ups, intervals, and recovery periods, so you can focus on running instead of checking your watch.
- 3D Routes: Explore your route and its hills in 3D on a full-screen map, and watch a 3D replay of your run when you're done.
- A brand-new design: Runnr has a fresh new look, from the home screen to the final kilometer.

### 4.2.2 — 2026-10-05

Run clubs are here!

• Find a run club near you in Explore, on the map or as a list, and join with one tap.
• Run on your own: your club posts a run, say 5 km. Tap "Make route" and Runnr builds it right where you are. Your run counts for the club automatically.
• Club runs can repeat every week, and you stay signed up for the next one.
• Get notified when your club posts a new run, plus a reminder on the day.
• Like and comment on club posts.
• Start your own club: with or without a regular meeting spot, and public or link only.

Share with a link
• Share a club or a route, and the link opens it straight in Runnr.
• Tap a route's name to rename it.

Leaderboard
• Running and cycling now have separate leaderboards, and unrealistic runs don't count.

Explore
• New design for route and club cards, where you can swipe through a route's photos.
• The map opens where you are.

Plus a number of fixes and improvements.

### 4.2.1 — 2026-09-30

What’s New in This Version

• A new top bar throughout the app - on the run screen and across Home, Explore, and Family. The same buttons, in the same place, every time.
• One tools button now brings all map tools together: search for a place, speak or draw your route, choose a starting point, favorites, history, and map layers - all clearly labeled.
• More space on the map to view your route once it has been created.
• The route line now follows your theme: green in light mode and orange in dark mode. If you’ve chosen a custom route color, it will stay unchanged.
• A calmer green in light mode and cleaner, more organized settings.
• Family now has shortcuts at the top: Live Now, Invite, Messages, and Settings.
• The walkthrough is now interactive - you get to try the buttons yourself.
• After a run, we now show you how to add the Runnr widget to your home screen.

Fixes
Fixed an issue when posting your own Runnart figures.

### 4.2.0 — 2026-09-30

What's new

• A new top bar throughout the app - on the run screen and in Home, Explore and Family. Same buttons, same place, every time.
• One tool button gathers the map tools: search for a place, talk or draw your route, pick a start point, favourites, history and map layers - with names.
• More map to see your route once it's made.
• The route line follows your theme: green in light, orange in dark. If you picked your own route colour, you keep it.
• A calmer green in light mode and tidier settings.
• Family now has shortcuts at the top: Right now, Invite, Messages and settings.
• The tour is now interactive - you try the buttons yourself.
• After a run, we show you how to add the Runnr widget to your home screen.

Fixes
• "My posts" could close the app when scrolling down.
• The run screen closes cleanly again, and Home no longer shows an edge when you pull to refresh.

### 4.1.5 — 2026-09-24

Ask the other runners, a new bottom menu, and a coach that writes sharper.

**Ask a question in the feed**
New: polls. Ask the other runners the things you would otherwise google -
best running shoes, which rain jacket, how many times a week - and get answers
with one tap. You write the question, pick two to six answers and how long it
stays open. The question sits in the home feed between the runs, and people
can like, comment and share it like anything else.

The result only appears once you have answered yourself, so the numbers do not
answer for you. You can change your answer while the poll is open, and nobody
can see who answered what. You will find it on Home, next to the bell.

**New bottom menu**
The menu at the bottom is now a floating capsule instead of a bar fixed to the
edge. The run button sits in the middle, your own profile photo has become the
icon for your profile, and the tab you are on gets a quiet marker rather than
a colour. The menu pulls in as you scroll down the feed, leaving more room for
what you are looking at.

**A sharper coach on your profile (Premium)**
The coach on your profile has got better at reading your runs. The week's plan
tells you how far to run, how many runs that is, how long the long run should
be and when to hold back - worked out on your own phone from the runs you have
actually done.

On top of the numbers, AI writes the week's review: how it is going, what the
week is about and why the plan looks the way it does, plus one concrete thing
to try on one of the week's runs. It sticks to your own numbers and does not
invent distances or times. Only the week's numbers are sent - never routes,
places, dates or times - and you turn it on yourself.

**Updated look**
The feed, the profile and the sheets have been tightened up: the same card
style, the same spacing and the same rounded shapes all the way through, in
both the light and the dark theme. What matters most on each card stands out
more, and the rest sits quieter.
